What Is Speeding?
Published by admin | Filed under Uncategorized
We all know that the speed limit can be broken, but by how much? Nobody stays under the posted limit on most roads. I have found residential and places where children might be; the speed limit is enforced more. It seems on the Interstate, if the speed limit is 55 and if you go 71 or more, that is considered speeding. Now don’t take my word for it and this may vary from area to area, city to city, and state to state. I just know some of the local law enforcement where I live, get people doing 71 or more, if the speed limit is 55.
One good way to avoid a speeding ticket is by owning one of those radar detectors. I don’t know if they are full-proof and I think the makers of these devices and the police are in a constant battle in this technology field. The best way to avoid a speeding ticket is not to speed at all. I know where I live, if you actually drove the speed limit on most roads, you would have a steady stream of cars passing you, tailgating, and maybe a horn honk or two from behind, because you would be traveling slower than the normal pace. A law officer can charge you with speeding for just driving 1 mph over the limit, so don’t think going over the limit by a couple is alright. Police rarely charge people with such a minor traffic violation, but if they feel like they want to investigate your vehicle more; speed is the number 1 way they choose to pull over a car and see who is in it. Drive safe and just try to play it smart and drive within the road conditions that present their self to you.
