Life In South Florida

I wonder what life is like down in South Florida? I live in Georgia and have visited Florida many times. Most of my trips are to the North part of the state. I have been as far South as Fort Myers, Florida. That was for a field trip we had in school and we flew down there and turned around and came back. So it wasn’t like I was really down there for that long.

The Keys are beautiful down in South Florida and I would love to go to them some day. I saw on television the other day where there is a marker located on one of the Islands in the Keys and it was the exact point where Cuba is 90 miles from Florida. I’m sure land isn’t cheap in the Keys if you were looking to move there. I probably could find Miami real estate at a better bargain than the land that makes up the Florida Keys.

Just the scenery and weather alone makes the Florida Keys a desired travel destination. I do plan to make a trip down there one day and take in the Islands. I will do it in the spring time of the year, so I’m not stuck down there in hurricane season. The one thing I look most forward to; is trying a piece of that famous key lime pie that the Islands are famous for. Just thinking of it now makes me want to run out and buy a key lime pie. The ones they sell in Georgia aren’t the real things, and I believe you have to use condense milk to make an authentic key lime pie. Ok, I’m craving pie now and will have to go and cure my sweet tooth!
