Atlanta Braves All Star Outfieleder
Author: adminThe rookie outfielder for the Atlanta Braves is making some early noise in the MLB season. For the very first game of the year, manager Bobby Cox wrote down Jason Heyward’s name as the 7th batter in the order on the line-card he submitted opening day. It would be just moments later; when the Say Hey Kid Jason Heyward would belt his first home run, on his first swing in the big leagues. It was a rocket show that went over the right field fence at Turner Field in Atlanta.
It wasn’t long after that, for Jason’s numbers to climb to a lot of first place stats for the Braves team. It was clear that Jason Heyward would not be a 7th place batter in the line up for very long. He would soon get his shot at the 6th spot and did very well there too. In fact, he did so well hitting in the 6th hole, Cox decided to move Jason Heyward in the number 2 hole in the line-up. Heyward continues to shine with the bat and his defense is above average for a major league ball player too. Due to the normal injuries and complaints from the over paid and over rated Chipper Jones; Jason would find him self hitting in the 3rd spot in the order some too. While bouncing back from the 2 and 3 spots in the line up, this rookie sensation from just south of the Atlanta area is tearing it up in the Majors.
Before we can present Jason Heyward his spot in Cooperstown, where the baseball Hall of Fame is located, we must first vote him in as an All Star. He deserves to be there and his numbers are as good as any other outfielder in the National League right now. It would be bad for baseball not to have one of their most prolific players playing in the mid-summer classic we know as the All Star Game.
You can help Jason Heyward get to the All Star Game in 2010; if you will vote for him on your All Star Ballots. It’s real simple to include Heyward in your choices and every voter can select 3 outfielders in the National League. So you can still pick your top 2 outfielders in the National League and vote them in; while still giving Jason Heyward a vote. He’s been climbing up the ladder and he needs to finish in the top 3, to be a guaranteed player in the All Star Game.
This year’s All Star Game will take place in Anaheim as the Angels baseball team will be hosting it. The manager for the National League squad is Charlie Manuel and he doesn’t like the Braves too much. He has to battle them daily in the National League East race and he’s shown in the past, he will not pick a Braves player for his All Star Team. For Jason Heyward to play in this year’s 2010 All Star Game, he will need your votes. Let’s all vote Jason Heyward in to the All Star Game, so everyone in the country can witness this kid’s potential.
If you collect baseball cards, then you will certainly want to own a few of the Jason Heyward rookie cards. If you already have a Jason Heyward baseball card, you can help to increase the value of it, by placing a vote for Jason Heyward of the Atlanta Braves in the All Star Game. This would be a tremendous honor for this rookie from Georgia. He’s a great player and a great teammate to have in the club house. His numbers speak for their self already, but he still isn’t 100 percent comfortable in the pro game yet. Can you imagine what kind of stats the Say Hey Kid could be putting up, once he gets use to the traveling and batting against a tough pitcher in the Majors each night? It will be hard to slow the Hey Train down, once he does get use to his surroundings.
Most have already heard the great news about the pitching sensation from Washington Stephen Strasburg and his 14 strikeout performance in his Major League debut. Another promising rookie in baseball is Mike Stanton from the Florida Marlins. He had a couple of hits in his first Major League debut this week. If you want to make some money with baseball cards, go find a few rookie cards for Jason Heyward, Stephen Strasburg, and Mike Stanton. All three of these kids can play ball and at a very high level. As long as none of these kids face any serious injuries in their career, the future sure does look bright for the Braves, Nationals, and Marlins; not to mention the NL East.
Now let’s get the ball rolling and put a vote for Jason Heyward’s name in the 2010 All Star Game. It would be fun watching him play on All Star Tuesday in July. The game will take place on July 13th, but you have to vote now, for it to have time to count for Jason Heyward as one of the starting outfielders for the National League team. All of the fans in the American League, that don’t have a chance to see Jason Heyward play, can change all of that, by voting him in to the 2010 All Star Game. I also hope they will invite Jason to participate in the Century 21 Home Run Derby. I’m sure he will put on a great show for the fans in the Derby and in the All Star Game in Anaheim on July 13th.
