Colts QB Peyton Manning

There will be about 1 billion people that will tune in next Sunday to watch Super Bowl 44 in Miami. Fans will get treated to the best 2 football teams this year. It’s been a long time since we have seen the two very best teams going head to head in the Super Bowl. I believe they said it was 1993 the last time this happen in the National Football League. I look forward to seeing what Peyton Manning can do in this big game and I think we are currently witnessing the best QB to have ever played the game. His counterpart on Super Bowl Sunday is pretty good too. Drew Brees is carrying the whole weight of a city on his shoulders andit’s no ordinary city. Many football fans around the Louisiana area see this Super Bowl as an achievement and a reward for all the pain and suffering they have had to endure over the last few years or so. Hurricane Katrina did a lot of damage in New Orleans, but the massive hurricane could not damage the spirits of all the good folks living in and around the New Orleans area.

Who will you be rooting for when all the Super Bowl hype is over and they can finally get down to playing some football? Will you be rooting for the talented Peyton Manning and his Indianapolis Colts? Or do you remember all the heartache and destruction that Hurricane Katrina left the city of New Orleans and will be hoping Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints can win this one for the city of New Orleans? I’m not sure if this is one of those games you can walk the fence on, but I am having a hard time deciding on which team to root for Sunday. Some would probably say that you are either with the NFC Champion Saints or your on the side of the AFC Champion Colts.

Breaking down the game for Super Bowl 44 in Miami, I would have to look at it this way. Peyton Manning has the ability to make every team in the NFL look bad on any given Sunday. This includes the hot New Orleans Saints and their very talented quarterback Drew Brees. I would not be shocked to see the Indianapolis Colts come in so prepared; that they will have this one decided at halftime with a 24+ point lead. If the Colts go into halftime leading 31 to 7 or 34 to 10; then you can go ahead and chalk up a win for the Colts and they will be the new champions of the NFL. If the Saints can get lucky with a turnover or two and keep the Colts within 2 touchdowns; then I see the Saints playing a better 2nd half and they could squeak out a win in the Sunshine State.

Most NFL fans have probably traveled to Miami already in anticpation for the big game. The Pro Bowl just wrapped up last night in Miami and this was a part of the new format in the NFL. They decided not to travel to Hawaii this year and the Pro Bowl game got moved north to the state of Florida. The NFL All Stars that were slated to play in the Pro Bowl, but have a date with the Super Bowl next Sunday, was in attendance last night, but no one for the Colts or Saints played in the Pro Bowl Game in Miami, Florida.

I know you guys will want me to get off the fence and pick a winner, so here is my prediction for Super Bowl 44 in Miami. This is a hard one to pick, since Peyton Manning is the best all time QB ever and Drew Brees is the best QB this season.

TEAMS            1st Q      2nd Q     3rd Q       4th Q        FINAL SCORE

Indianapolis Colts —20———7————7———–7———————41

New Orleans Saints—0———-3————10———-6———————19

Do you have a score prediction you would like to share with me and my blog’sreaders? Not only would I like to see your score predictions, but I would love to hear the reasons behind them too. I don’t think there is too much strategy involved when it comes to picking a Super Bowl MVP in the 44th annual Super Bowl Event. It would be very difficult for some other player that isn’t Drew Brees or Peyton Manning walk away with the Super Bowl MVP award. Going outside of the box and giving someone else a chance to win the MVP or Most Valuable Player, I will pick the tight end for the Colts wearing number 44 Dallas Clark as the MVP. I see number 44 winning MVP in Super Bowl 44; if any player even has a shot at the prestigious award with Drew and Peyton participating in this game.

I live just north of Florida in the state of Georgia. It isn’t uncommon for the folks living in Georgia to take a vacation down to Florida once a year; since we are bordering states. I have visited a few different places in Florida. I have enjoyed all of my visits to the Sunshine State and there really isn’t a bad destination you could take to Florida. Perhaps if you took a trip to an area in Florida that had an approaching hurricane would not be much fun and would be a bad travel destination, but for the most part they are all fun places to visit.

If I had to select one place in Florida that is better than all the rest; then I would choose panama city beach as my favorite Florida destination. It is hands down the best place to visit in Florida and it might just be the best travel destination in the southeastern United States. You will find Panama City Beach in the pan handle of Florida. It borders the waters in the Gulf of Mexico and if walked straight out through the ocean; then you would end up in the country of Mexico. Panama City Beach does face the South; when you’re looking straight ahead or over the edge of the ocean in the Gulf of Mexico.

I haven’t been to Panama City in Florida recently, so not sure what changes have been made down there. One of the things I always do is eat at a restaurant called Bishops. They have an all-you-can-eat buffet and they have a little bit of everything on it. The seafood is really good there! If you live in Panama City or have visited there recently, please let me know if Bishops is still in business. They have other great seafood restaurants in Panama City Beach. Eating seafood, when I travel to Florida, is a must and you will be hard-pressed to find better seafood any where else in Florida.

Entertainment is always a plus when you make a trip or plan a vacation to a foreign place. Plenty of adult clubs for the older travelers to enjoy in Panama City. There is no shortage of putt putt courses or go-kart tracks for the kids either. Panama City offers a friendly atmosphere to families with small children and they will love all the game rooms and surf shops along the strip.

I have to go to the dog races when I visit Florida and I always check out the greyhounds when I visit Panama City Beach, Florida. There isn’t a greyhound track inside the city, but just a short 30 minute drive away is a dog track for those that like to bet on the dogs. You can bring the kids to the dog track near Panama City called Ebro. They allow all ages in and you just have to keep the children away from the betting area where the tellers are located. I have never took anyone to the greyhound races and they had a bad time. I guarantee you will have a good time, if you visit the dog track, the next time you visit Florida.

No doubts that Panama City Beach is the top travel destination to choose for those that are planning a trip to Florida. Yes, I have visited Daytona Beach before and it is a great place to see too. I just don’t rank Daytona ahead of Panama City, because there is much more to do in Panama City when you compare it to Daytona Beach or other popular places in Florida. I know Mickey Mouse and his friends are great in Central Florida, but I still like Panama City Beach the best. Orlando doesn’t even have a beach and you have to have the sand between your toes if you go to Florida!
