I always like to look at the top 10 things Yahoo users are searching for each day. It’s fun to try and determine why these things are making the top 10. I can’t always figure out the answers and wonder why people make some of these searches online. Number 5 on the list is the Philiadelphia Phillies. I know the Phillies are playing the L.A. Dodgers in the MLB postseason in baseball and I can understand them being popular right now. Why is my favorite group Metallica on the list? What has Jackie Chan been doing lately to get a 8th spot on the list?

Metallicais big in the news right now as a search is underway for a missing fan that attended a Metallica concert. Her name is Morgan Harrington and she is 20 years old.

Metallica Fan Missing

If you have seen her; then please contact your local authorities immediately. Her mom helped her pick out the outfit she wore to the concert and I’m sure her mom is very worried right now. While Morgan’s name didn’t make the top 10 searches at Yahoo; it’s good to know that her status as missing right now is linked to a popular rock group like Metallica.

Jackie Chan is making the news right now; due to his commitment to remake a 1982 movie called The Shaolin Temple. I haven’t seen this movie, but the title does sound familiar. A huge Asian population that makes up the Internet is probably one of the main driving forces that has Jackie Chan on the list at number 8.

Number 10 is Contessa Brewer

Contessa Brewer

You don’t always have to do good things to get in the top 10 at Yahoo. Poor Contessa Breweris actually seeing her name on the list for a mistake she made on live TV. She accidentally introduced Jessie Jackson as the Rev. Al Sharpton. I didn’t get a chance to see this yet, but I think most would find that pretty funny. The two look nothing alike, but they do seem to walk a lot of the same paths and it really isn’t that big of an error when you think about it. I just hope Jessie Jackson saw the humor in it and didn’t take this personally.

You can check out the other top 10 searches at Yahoo to see why they are so popular right now. Learn why Galilean Nights is number 1 right now and why people will be looking up at the sky for the next 3 days.
