The 1970’s Den

You might think I’m crazy, but I really like the way the homes were built in the 1970’s. It seems a lot of them were bricked and they were just so cozy inside. You can see this in a lot of movies that were made in the 1970’s or 1980’s and see some of these homes. They are not as nice on the outside as the homes of today, but I love that feeling they had inside of them.

The 1970’s den is what I liked the best; the den that would have a couple of steps going down to a sunken room in the house. Some dens would carpet the floor and the walls giving it that extra cozy feeling. You could usually see a fish aquarium in the den, along with a few wine racks. Yes, this is how the 1970 dens were set up and if I ever build a house, I might decide to go retro in the den, in tribute to all those great 1970 dens that existed back in the day.
