Red or White Wine?

Which type of wine do you prefer the best? I hear a lot of talk over red and white wines and was just wondering what people preferred. When you go to your wine refrigerator, which one would you be more likely to pull out? I know red wine has proven to have a lot of good nutritional benefits and from that stand point; it would probably be the better choice between the two. If you just based your decision on taste and wanted the best tasting wine, would you select red or white wine? Is one of these wines better to cook with; than the other wine? It would be interesting to do a taste test for those that don’t drink wine much and blindfold individuals and see if they liked the white wines or the red wines the best.
