Bloggers Connecting on the Radio
Are you a blogger? Are you aware that a radio station existed for bloggers? Well I wasn’t aware of a radio station that was geared up just for bloggers, until today. I saw a member at PayPerPost that got the opportunity this evening to talk on this radio station geared for bloggers. It’s called Blog Talk Radio and they have live shows you can listen to now, or an archive that keeps shows for you to go back and listen to later. Colleen from PayPerPost did a show there tonight, that is number 21 in the archives from June 17th. They gave her a chance to mention her blog Simple Kind of Life; even though the host couldn’t quite get the right name out. I think this is a great avenue for bloggers to get extra exposure for their blogs.
Now since this is my first day of seeing the blog radio station, I don’t know much about it. They do have a phone number on their website you can call in. Bloggers that try to build up their numbers so they get the high rankings at Alexa, Google PageRank, etc…, could benefit greatly by having their blog mentioned over the radio. There are so many bloggers out there that might be tuning into a radio station like Blog Talk Radio, that hear your blog, and would want to go check it out. The host of the show mentioned taking a paid opportunity from PayPerPost, and it made me want to find his blog. I thought it was a great looking blog, with people that are actively leaving comments on his blog. To my surprise the blog has a PR4 ranking, and it makes you just wonder how Google gets these PR numbers. Now you’re not going to have a 10 ranking. I think Google and Yahoo might be the only 10’s out there.
Why stop at radio? I think a TV show could be very useful and watched by many, if there was a tv show that came on weekly for bloggers. I might have to look and see how many pretty pennies it would cost to have a 30 minute show on television. A tv show to breakdown blogs, give blogging tips, and just having a show on television for the bloggers. If there is anybody out there that ever thought about putting a show on tv that is just for bloggers, then I would be interested. If you need any help, then I would be more than happy to partner up with someone to get a show on television for bloggers. I would imagine a television audience would have huge and instant impacts on the numbers that bloggers look to achieve in the technorati’s and others of the world.
On a much smaller scale, there are the YouTube videos that bloggers can use to help promote their blogs. Finding a entertaining act on YouTube could reap rewards for a blogger if they had their own YouTuber or produced the videos themselves. Any sort of media outlet that a blogger can find and use effectively to promote their blog, would pay the biggest dividends on the search engines. If you focus on the links from all the major search engines like MSN, Google, and Yahoo, then people will be able to find your blogs that way. Millions and millions of searches are done everyday online, and getting your blog to appear in as many search phrases is the key to succeeding with a high volume of traffic to your blog. Finding your own personal SEO (search engine opitmization) company can help you to fix all the little things, to make it attractive to the big 3 search engine companies. So our blogs just aren’t for the computer anymore. Seeing this radio avenue that has been created for bloggers, has made me rethink the way I advertise my blog.
