Well it looks like I will be getting dumber this week as I am suppose to have my widsom teeth removed on Friday (Sept. 7th). I’m not sure how much wisdom I have in them teeth, but from the oral surgeon it’s going to be a painful process. The actual surgery won’t be painful because I will be put to sleep. However it seems when I wake up I will be in a great deal of pain, which doesn’t sound fun at all.

I like my weekends and especially with college football here now, Saturdays are fun watching football on television. I hope by the time my teams start their kickoffs on Saturday, I will be comfortable. I dread the procedure but it’s just one of those things that has to be done. For some reason I don’t have one of my widsom teeth, but the other 3 are in place and will be the ones taking out.

Have you ever had your wisdom teeth taken out? Or maybe you know someone that has had the procedure done before? If you do know a story then please feel free to share it with me. I would like to know how much pain I could expect and was there any problems that made the recovery time longer than expected. I have been told 3 days to recover and I’m not sure if the day of the procedure is one of those days. So it could be Monday or Tuesday of next week before I start feeling somewhat normal. I do know that I will have a diet of soft foods. Any good suggestions on things to eat would be much appreciated too! I want to stock up before I have them taken out. I was thinking of things like mash potatoes and gravy, soup beans, and soups would be good things to eat after my surgery. I guess jello and ice cream would be good deserts for the sweet tooth I have. Not sure if things that are cold would bother it more or not. It might be sensitive to cold or heat from certain food items. I do dread this weekend and what condition I might be in. I am just looking to spend the weekend on the couch with a few pillows and the remote in my hands for turning the television.
