Rainy Days

We haven’t had many rainy days in the South this year, but its looking good for Thanksgiving. We should see plenty of the wet stuff on turkey day and it got me to thinking about what it use to be like on those rainy days.

There is nothing better than a day full of rain, when you can lie on the couch all day and watch movies. Grab a few snacks or get the popcorn machines going and munch on popcorn all day. I miss days like that and this drought pattern we are in now, makes those days more valuable than they use to be. I’m sure I will be pretty lazy on Thanksgiving Day this year. Rain is in the forecast and I will be pigging out on all the turkey and dressing I can eat. I probably will watch a movie or two that day, but football is the main thing to watch on Thanksgiving. It’s even more exciting when your team is playing on Thanksgiving Day and this year the Atlanta Falcons will be playing the Colts, so I look forward to that match up. My Falcons aren’t looking too good, but I’m sure with the sweet potato pie close by, I will have something to ease the pain with. So here’s hoping for a rainy Thanksgiving Day and I hope your day is as lazy as mine will be!
