New Uniforms; New Hawks?
My Atlanta Hawks will start their season off tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. This will be the first game that the Hawks will be sporting their new uniforms. I would like to get one of the new Hawks shirts, but I have been a little short on money lately. The new colors on the shirts are blue and it comes from the St. Louis Hawks days. The team use to have a lot of blue in their shirts. No more red for the Hawks this year as they will be trying their luck with the blue uniforms.
The Atlanta Hawks had a 7-1 preseason, which was tops in the NBA. I know you can’t judge too much by preseason games, but it’s nice to see that we won almost every game. The newest Hawks will have their first taste of NBA action tonight. Al Horford the number 3 overall pick and Acie Law the number 11 overall pick, will try to help the Hawks get to the playoffs this year. They have a strong core of young guys and they are changing up their game plan a bit this year. They have decided to start running up and down the court and are going to try and run teams off the court. We have had success with this style and our first two home games will be against the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns. Both of these teams like to run too and this new Hawks team will have a good early test in their season. It should be fun to watch and I can’t wait for the tip off tonight at Phillips Arena!
