Fantasy Team Rebounds After Loss

Published by admin | Filed under Blogroll

My fantasy team got back on the winning track after suffering it’s first defeat last week to the number 1 team in our football fantasy league. I won against a team that the owner seems to be MIA. He had several players that were hurt in his line up and he failed to make changes. His team is 1-3 and I think his team will not be going to the playoffs in our fantasy league. We do have two teams that have failed to win their first game yet. My team is in the 4th position in the Yahoo Rankings and two other teams are 3-1 with me. I play against the 5th ranked team in our league this week, but his team has managed to score more points than any other team in our league. So he’s just had bad luck playing teams that had monster weeks and his record is 2-2. So this won’t be an easy game for me, and even though I am ranked in the 4th spot to his 5th spot ranking, I would say his team is the favorite in our match up. So let’s break down the match up in my week 5 fantasy football league.

MY TEAM

QB Peyton Manning

WR Joey Galloway

WR Greg Jennings

WR Antwaan Randle El

RB Clinton Portis

RB Deshaun Foster

TE Alge Crumpler

WR/TE Shaun McDonald

WR/RB Maurice Jones-Drew

K Nate Kaeding

DEF Arizona

INDIVIDUAL DEFENSIVE PLAYERS: DeMeco Ryans, Ernie Sims, Jermaine Phillips, Eric Wright, Patrick Willis, and Derrick Johnson

MY OPPONENT

QB Tony Romo

WR Amani Toomer

WR Bernard Berrian

WR Santana Moss

RB Joseph Addai

RB Edgerian James

TE Donald Lee

WR/TE Andre Davis

WR/RB Chris Brown

K Nick Folk

DEF Houston

INDIVIDUAL DEFENSIVE PLAYERS: Donnie Edwards, London Fletcher, Gibril Wilson, Von Hutchins, Antonio Pierce, Shawne Merriman

So I see that I have my work cut out for me this week. I need big games from several guys if I expect to have a chance to win this match up. The good news is that if I would have had to play this team last week, I would have got beat by 100 points. I like my chances a lot better this week with the guys I got playing for me on Sunday. My star Peyton Manning does have to go against one of the best defenses in football right now in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His running back Joseph Adai will have to face this same defense too. I could give Eli Manning the start over his brother and this would help me out with his wide receiver Amani Toomer. All the stats that Toomer would get, I could cancel out because Eli would be trhowing him the ball. So I might make a last minute QB change and play Eli Manning in this game. I will keep ya updated on how things go next week and throughout my season in fantasy football.
