Even though September has come and gone, I’m still reading through all the super Blog Against Abuse subjects. Your is such an important example of societal abuse that isn’t often called by its rightful name! Abuse, in my mind, is any action that harms others…and I no longer make exceptions for absence of intent. If carelessness, neglect, even ignorance or anything else contributes to abuse against others, its still abuse and the victim suffers as much regardless of intent or not. That doesn’t mean intent doesn’t matter, just that someone or something is hurt when it could have been avoided. As you say, giving the finger, or crowding another vehicle etc. are unnecessary and may just be that last little thing that breaks a person. Thank you for writing about this important subject!
