I’m sure it’s quite an experience for those that have had the opportunity to swim with dolphins before. I know some people go on vacation to Orlando and visit SeaWorld just so they can say they have swam with dolphins before. I have seen a good blog about dolphins online called Dolphin Bubbles and it offers great dolphin pictures and information about dolphins. They are the type of animals that warm your heart and I think most people do like dolphins in general. I know I would like to have a dolphin pulling me through the water as I held on tightly to their fin. I’m not sure how sharp a dolphin’s fin is, but I have never heard of anyone cutting their hand on the fin before.

I know there is a lot of dolphin lovers out there and they collect anything to do with dolphins. You can see them wearing dolphin t-shirts, dolphin hats, or pictures on their walls with dolphins. A dolphin picture is something nice to hang in the living room or in the den. I imagine having a fish aquarium near by would really set off the room.

I love the water and this includes the lakes and the oceans both. I don’t live close to the ocean, so I don’t get a chance to ride the waves there much. It has to be exciting for fishermen that go deep sea fishing to see dolphins that jump out of the water or follow their ships out to sea. I imagine some deep sea fishing trips have caught dolphins before and I hope they are able to make a full recovery, after having a hook stabbed through their mouth. Dolphins are man’s best friend if we ever did have a best friend living under water. I know some dolphins are endangered and man must do whatever it takes to insure these loving creatures. I just hope I have the chance to visit a place in the near future that has real dolphins and you can ride them.

All of the tech gadgets these days will be out dated in a few years if the technology boom continues to grow. It seems buying the latest and fastest computer on the market right now will be yesterday’s news next year. You just can’t keep waiting for the end to arrive and buy then, because this pattern is going to keep going for decades to come I’m sure. You just have to be prepared to update your systems if you do want the latest and greatest thing in the future. This goes for more than just our computers and the other tech gadgets like an iPod, a television, a digital camera, or a flash drive. It’s good that technology continues to grow and this does make our lives easier in the long run and perhaps saving us money too. Just keep an eye out for the updated tech gadgets that arrive on the market each year.

The All Star Weekend in Phoenix is over now, but I have my doubts about the dunk contest that took place. I’m not sure who the NBA thinks they are fooling, but the 2009 dunk contest was fixed. There is no doubts in my mind based on the way the judges scored the dunking. Rudy Fernandez scored a 42 on the hardest dunk of the evening and Dwight Howard received a 50 on his first dunk attempt. Both guys needed several tries to get their dunk right, so I’m not sure how you could take away from Fernandez for attempting his dunk multiple times.

It seems the NBA wanted to create a match up with the tallest dunker in the contest against the shortest slam dunker in the event. Nate Robinson and Dwight Howard was the two NBA players that advance to the finals in the dunk contest. I guess the NBA wanted to insure that the extra props that these two guys brung with them, would get used in the dunk contest. The NBA has to approve all props before hand, so they knew Nate Robinson and Dwight Howard were bringing a little extra to the table that night. Rudy Fernanadez had the best dunk all night long and not many guys could have did that dunk. I hope the NBA never tries to fix another dunk contest again! Do you think there was a fix on the NBA dunk contest?

I wish I could go back and do my schooling all over again. I would certainly attend college and I think I would have taken a few law coarses too. A Mesothelioma lawyer gets paid really well and other attorneys too. A lot of people got exposed to asbestos and this caused different types of cancer to form in the body. One of these is mesothelioma and people that worked in plants or old buildings contracted this by being exposed to asbestos. We didn’t know the harm in asbestos products then, but the families that got exposed to it have been affected greatly. They have hired attorneys to seek legal action against those that are responsible and the attorneys that specialize in mesothelioma have been making a killing. Even today there is still a big need for lawyers that seek justice for the families that got mesothelioma from asbestos materials. For those of you still in law school, be sure to learn about mesothelioma, because we haven’t seen the last of these cases in court.

A company that has happy employees is the company that will continue to move forward in the New Year and beyond. It doesn’t take much for the management team to keep their employees happy and excited. I think a rewards plan is something that could benefit both parties. Rewarding an employee for doing a good job or having a perfect attendance record is a good starting point. The boss over each department could be in charge of the rewards plan. The company could give out promotional items like hats, pens, t-shirts, and other things as the reward. A custom promotional product is something the employees would like to receive; while the company could benefit from the extra advertising these items offer. The employer would win both ways by keeping a happier crew of employees and promoting their business with the help of promotional items. A small business would be wise to order a few dozen mugs with the company name, logo, or a telephone number on it and distributing them out to their employees. You never know where those mugs will end up at and this goes for any other promotional items a business would create. It’s time for all companies to start working smarter and not harder!

Our money may be nothing if things don’t get turned around soon. I hope the government sends out stimulus checks in the near future to jump start the economy. I’m not sure why they would want to bailout any failing company. It’s the American people and taxpayers that need the money and giving it to them is the fastest way to restore our faith in the American economy and government. I feel bad for so many people that are losing jobs right now and employers should be able to find some really good employees for their company. I know the current economical crisis is no laughing matter, but sometimes you just have to laugh at the things Washinton, D.C. tries to come up with. I just turn to Weird Al for my financial advice and the things he says make more sense than what the politicians are suggesting.

Speaking of Weird Al, what is your favorite song that he performs? Let’s see if we can go back down memory lane and think of some of the songs he has done. I know he has done about 100 of them and just about everybody can remember at least 1. So let me know your favorite Weird Al song and leave a reply.

Our house could use a few touch-ups here and there. We don’t need a new room built on yet, but if we could fix up the ones we have now, would be great for this year. Getting in the construction mind takes a lot of supplies and we need just a little bit of everything at my house. Several of the rooms need a good paint job and I need another painter around that could help me paint in a linear motion. I will probably spend more money on plastic and tarps trying to protect things than the actual paint will cost. One room in our house has a very high ceiling, so painting it is really a job. I like the rooms where the 6 foot ladder is enough, but the highest point in my home (that needs painting) is well over 10 feet tall. I hope I have time to take care of the kitchen cabinets and give them a good coat of paint. A few of the latches are not working properly and I will probably order some new ones from Reid Supply Company online. They also have a reversible air drill that I would like to have and it will be needed; when I start tackling some of these jobs around the home. I certainly have my work cut out for me this year, but I know I will be glad I did them when next winter arrives.

A product like Super Cissus can be another effective way of maintaining strength in our bones and muscles. Just don’t think that lifting weights is for men or people that want big muscles. We all could use a little workout each day and weightlifting is something for all of us to benefit from. If your workout lasts for 5 to 10 minutes each day, that is better than zero minutes. We have to start somewhere and a workout that takes 5 minutes to do is better than nothing!

The big grizzly bears that roam the Alaska terrain have it made. Alaska is one of the most scenic places in the whole entire world. I would love to visit Alaska one day and take-in all of the beauty that is there. It can get really cold in the winter time there and I’m not sure if I would want to spend a winter in Alaska. Once the weather starts to warm up in the spring and green starts growing on the mountains is when I would want to take my trip to Alaska. The wildlife is every where in Alaska. Visitors would have no problems capturing the animals on film or seeing them in their natural habitat. I hope the global warming trend we are in now or “climate change” isn’t hurting these animals too much. The polar bears have been affected with less ice around to float on, so I know they are in trouble. I’m not sure if the grizzly bears are having their own problems, but if the salmon population slows down in Alaska, this would hurt the big bears in the fall and winter seasons in Alaska. These mammoth bears rely on the fats they get from the salmon’s skin and they need this for hibernation. If bears don’t over eat in the fall season, they will wake up too early during the winter and will struggle to find food. Let’s hope the natural beauty of Alaska stays the same and we can prevent the warming trend that is currently happening in our environment.

If you did make a trip there at one time, do you plan to go back? I would want to find a cabin that is by itself in the mountains of Alaska. I wouldn’t want to be near any cities or towns, so I could enjoy the silence that Alaska offers. I’m sure the wildlife makes noises up there, but that would be the only noise I would hear. I think it would be fun to arrive in the fall and chop wood for a few weeks and live out a winter in Alaska. It would be a game of survival to have enough food and medicine to survive the harsh conditions that Alaska offers in the winter months. I would be up for the challenge, if I could take the time off from work. I just need to win the lottery and I would embrace an Alaskan winter. Money is the only thing keeping me away for now and I hope that changes real soon.

I don’t often wear a watch but I know the people that do probably have some interesting stories they could tell. Wearing a watch in public these days, will get total strangers asking you for the time. I’m sure this probably annoys some; while others are glad they could help. The technology boom that we are in right now is changing the ways people find out the time of day. Most cell phones do display the time and who doesn’t own a cell phone in 2009. I wouldn’t be surprise if more people found out about the time from their phones; than they do from their Suunto watches. I believe it would make a good survey to see where most people learn about the time of day. I normally stay on the computer 12 or more hours a day, so I check the time on the computer the most. If I go out in public, I would mainly just get the time from my clock in the car. I rarely ask someone for the time in public, but I have friends that don’t mind asking anytime. I guess I could start the poll now and ask my readers where they learn about the time of day the most.

The Atlanta Hawks were playing good basketball to start the season, but that hasn’t been the case lately. I’m not sure if these guys will be winning any basketball trophies this year. The free throw shooting has been hurting them the last few games, even though they did win against New Jersey on Friday night, they manage to lose to the Bucks last night and losing by 3 points, you have to go back and look at the miss free throw opportunities. The Hawks need the All Star break, but I’m not sure if it will cure their poor play.

A new coach coming to Atlanta is looking more likely now. Mike Woodson has no idea how to manage the most talented team in the NBA. He is coaching his last days in Atlanta and him returning next year would make no sense. Ticket sales aren’t going to get any better with him on the sidelines and the owners should have removed him last year. The old GM Billy Knight wanted to fire Woodson at this time last year, but the owners over ruled him and that is proving to be a big mistake. Making the playoffs isn’t that big of a deal and Atlanta should try to win a championship; while they do have the guys in place to that right now.

Winter is here and I can sure feel it. I know we have several more weeks of the cold stuff left, but I will be glad when it’s over and we can start our spring cleaning. People will start to plow up the ground soon and begin planting seeds and flowers around the house. Many other things will soon be done around the house as soon as the weather does warm up some. I know my room needs a new cleaning and my ceiling fan could use a good dusting. The blinds in my room need changing out too and I may look for some Discount Blinds online. I don’t think anyone likes to get cold and there is a good reason why we wait until the weather warms up, before we start doing things around the house. One thing all of us can be doing right now is creating a list, so once the long sleeve shirts are put away, we can start checking off things on our list. I think it would be safe to say right now that my list will have 40 or 50 things on it for this year. I do have a lot of work to do this spring, but for now I will just throw another log on the fire and wait for Mother Nature to do her thing.
