For those of us that live in the city, I think our number 1 dream is to have a place in the country that we can visit on the weekends or go for family vacations. Something like a log cabin sitting on a lake with woods surrounding it would be the type of place many people dream about. Perhaps just owning a piece of land and building a small house or log cabin would be good too and just some place we could travel to, so we could escape city life. The log cabin dream would be perfect for me and having windows in the cabin they gave a scenic view of the mountains would be heaven. Big rooms inside with wood flooring in every room of the cabin is the way I would want to construct my vacation getaway place. A place that would be surrounded by trees and no busy roads nearby or other houses that you could see from the cabin is the ideal location. Just a place in the middle of no where is what a lot of us living in the city need and it’s the best medicine for clearing the mind. We spend so many days of the year doing things we don’t want to do, we all need a place to go when we do get a chance to do things our way. The log cabin in the mountains would be my greatest accomplishment, if I ever could manage to have a place like this for my very own.

The holidays is suppose to be a time of festive celebrations and good times. Many that don’t have a home to live in or a descent meal to eat each day are having a hard time finding meals at the local food banks. If you know of a food bank in your local area, make sure you try to donate something in the month of December. Lots of food banks across the nation are running out or low on supplies and they depend on donations from people like you. If everyone would just send 1 or 2 can items to a local food bank, we could take care of this problem and nip it in the bud. Some people just need something to eat and it’s no fun when your hungry and don’t have any food around. Let’s all try to make a extra effort this holiday season and donate to our local food banks.

You can find many places online that will take money donations if you don’t have a local food bank in your area. Cash is just as good for a lot of these places that food the homeless and people just needing a good meal. I think with a little extra effort this holiday season we can make a change and I know the people that will benefit from your generosity will be very greatful. Let’s stop out hunger in our nation!

It won’t be long until the smell of turkey and dressing is in the air. I love the day of Thanksgiving and who wouldn’t with all the good food that is cooked and plenty of football to watch on television. All of that good food can lead to a little extra weight we put on this week. I don’t think no one should diet on Thursday and eat everything in sight. Normally the next day we find our self eating Thanksgiving leftovers and we just continue to add to the calorie count. I believe someone comes into my bedroom every night and just jumps up and down on me. At least that is the way it feels when I wake up in the mornings. I’m not sure what the problem is, but I go to bed feeling fine and wake up with pains from sleeping. I guess it could be my bed causing the problem and I would probably be better off with a sleep number bed. You know the beds you can adjust by numbers and have your own personal sleep number? I think I could benefit from one of those types of beds and maybe I wouldn’t wake up with all the aches and pains I have been experiencing lately. When you wake up in the mornings with pain, it takes a while longer to get your day started. I have falling behind in my work and so many projects I have going on right now, because it takes me half of the day just to get my pains comfortable from a bad night of sleeping. The Tennessee Titans was the last of the undefeated teams for this year in the NFL. They had an amazing winning streak get snapped to one of the oldest quarterbacks in the game. Brett Favre led his New York Jets to a 21 point victory over the Titans that had won 10 games in a row. The Titans are still a good football team at 10-1 on the year and they will be seeing playoff games this year in the Volunteer State. Brett Favre probably just wrote his last chapter in the NFL and I doubt Brett Favre ever does anything great in the NFL again. Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers is a much better quarterback, regardless what Terry Bradshaw says. Brett is done in the Big Apple and the Jets team will follow behind their aging leader.

The New England Patriots had the perfect season last year and they won all 16 of their regular season games. The Titans team and their fans should be proud of a great effort this year and they have beaten the odds every week; when no one would give them a way to win. The Titans have just woke up every Sunday this year and went out and played better football than the rest of the teams. The Jets and Favre got lucky and the winning streak shouldn’t have got snapped here but it is probably best for the Titans that it did. They can now go back to playing good football and get their team ready for a post season run that could lead them all the way to the Super Bowl.

Global Warming is certainly making a name for it self these days. Millions and millions of people will need a new place to call home, as their land will be under water in the coming years. This isn’t something that is going to take hundreds of years to happen, but the changes are happening today. We are seeing the effects of climate change and no one can truly predict, just where we might be a decade from now. The world will be very different in 2020 and seeing how we cope with it in 2010, should give us a good idea where we will stand in the year 2020.

It’s not so easy to get out during the winter time and go jogging down the street. I think the airplane is the only space travel I want to do right now, but it would be nice to have 1 million dollars, so I would have the option of deciding.

They are some places that work on a trade scale and a lot of people would be surprised that they can trade in their old DVD’s, CD’s, and things like this for new merchandise. I know I have some that just collect dust these days and I might be able to benefit by trading them in. I never have been the type of person that throws away many things, so I have a ton of stuff I really do need to get rid of and my old cds would be a good place to start. We see this every year and I believe it will be no different this year. The long presidential race has came to an end and that end was found at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. John McCain just couldn’t quite bring in enough votes and America elects Barack Obama as the 43rd president of the United States of America. Lots of folks are celebrating now and it should be interesting to see how Obama does with all the challenges he is now facing.

Some think it’s a bad time to become president, but I disagree. Things are broke now, so the new president has nothing to lose. He can become a hero if things get fixed soon and no big deal if it doesn’t. I was favoring the McCain route for president and so was my state of Georgia. I don’t think either candidate was that attractive, but it’s no longer up for debate. We have a president and he is our first black president, so we all must come together as Americans and support our new president. Things need to be fixed in this country and hopefully the voters know more than I do and they did put the best man in office. Rock Obama is going on right now in Chicago and all over America, as the African American citizens are really viewing this as a change. I think we got a lot more to prove as a nation and now is the time to back our new president and try to get things fixed with the economy and global warming issues.
