I think one of the most amazing things about technology these days is the amount of memory we can store on something so tiny. In the early days we used larger chips and circuits and things like that to store a certain amount of memory on; as time went by, we have learned to store more memory on smaller objects and this has made our technology of today more convenient for most people. A laptop computer is a good example of this and it’s amazing all the things it can do and still be convenient to carry around with you. You can store a lot of data on a memory stick and just push it in to a computer when you need the information off of it. I don’t think we have seen the limits of memory storage in technology and I’m sure a few years from now, they will have created new ways to store more memory on smaller things. Let’s just hope the new ways of storing memory for tomorrow is also a cheaper way to do it and consumers won’t be paying more for the new technoloy.

I love to watch the movies where they start in America and travel down to Mexico for some reason or another. I think it would be fun to go to Mexico and I would like to be able to do that one day. I would prefer to just drive from Georgia to Mexico and go through the border in Texas somewhere. I’m not sure if you need a passport or not to go to Mexico, so I would need a passport if that’s the case. I wouldn’t worry about the food, because I do like eating Mexican food and I would certainly want to eat at a few restaurants in Mexico. I always hear about things being cheaper in Mexico, so my trip would consist of a lot of shopping. I think it would be fun to take a lot of money down there and buy up a bunch of things. I guess clothes would be the main thing, but I would be more out to shop for bargains than any particular item. I think someone told me that 1 American dollar is like 6 in Mexico, so I guess that means you could go to McDonalds and get a Big Mac extra value meal for 1 dollar and would even get change back. I could live with those rates and I might be able to actually afford to live in Mexico better than I could in this country. If you have traveled to Mexico before from the States, please let me know if I need a passport or not and also give me any helpful tips or suggestions for places to eat, things to do or a town I should visit in Mexico from the Texan border.

It won’t be much longer until all the kids go roaming the streets and looking for candy to add to their bags. I know this is just as much fun for the adults too and Halloween isn’t just for the kids. Some adults even have costume or Halloween parties and will send out Halloween invitations to the people they work with and their friends and neighbors. A good Halloween party must give out a gift to the best costume at the party, so keep that in mind when you’re planning out your Halloween party. I’m sure cash or a gas card would come in handy this Halloween season as the economy isn’t looking too hot right now.

So what is your best costume ever? I think when I dressed up like Ace Freely from the rock band Kiss was my best costume ever. I had two other friends that dressed like other members of Kiss and we went to the mall. A local newspaper made us stop in the mall and took our picture for their paper. I never did get to see the picture in the paper and not sure if it got published or not. So if you want to get in the newspaper, just get a nice costume and head out to the mall on Halloween Night and see if you’re lucky enough to find someone taking pictures for a newspaper. I haven’t made plans this year for Halloween, but I would like to visit some haunted houses this Halloween. I have missed out on the true meaning of Halloween and often just watch the scary movies that come on television for Halloween. So I have to find some time this year and go out and find one of these great haunted houses to go through.

Any website will benefit with content that is live and this is a great way to boost search engine rankings. Many widgets and things like that are available for webmasters and blog owners to get live data going to their websites. I have had a lot of luck with things like RSS Feeds for bringing more traffic and incoming links to my sites and this is an area I would like to explore more. I think there is some advantages to digital signage and learning more about this area is an interest of mine. The sky is always the limit; when it comes to finding more ways to make our sites look better, offer more timely information and bringing in new traffic for search engine purposes. Technology continues to find new ways and things to help assist webmasters and I think the real time data could be huge for some websites out there.

It’s not very often that you get to see one of those really special athletes in sports. That is exactly what the folks in Athens, Georgia have been watching recently. Knowshon Moreno is a can’t miss prospect on the next level and some NFL team is going to be very happy on draft day when they land this fantastic running back from New Jersery. He was a sensational high school player in the state of New Jersey, but the Bulldog Nation has adopted him as their own and this is one Georgia Peach that is so sweet. Moreno is the best player in college football this year and deserves to make that trip to New York City and pick up the prize that belongs to him. The Heisman is given out to the best college football player in the country and there is no one in the nation close to the awesome abilities of Knowshon Moreno.

Some may have not seen the play that was heard around the world and did Knowshon Moreno really leap over a player while running with the ball? This is one legend that is true and you can even see the clips at You Tube with Knowshon Moreno jumping over a player from Central Michigan. It’s just one more highlight to add to the reel as Knowshon Moreno continues to amaze everyone that has ever watched a game of football in their life. Moreno is worth the price of admission to any football game that features this awesome tailback from the SEC.

One video shows Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints and you can watch Bush hurdle a player on the way to a score for the Saints. After you get to see Reggie’s jump, the video then shows the talented running back from Georgia as he hurdles his own obstacle on the field. Below is the video of both running backs and you can decide on which one is the best. Just keep in mind you’re comparing a player in the NFL that has been there for a couple of years with a college player that is a sophmore for the UGA team. If were already comparing Knowshon Moreno with a player like Reggie Bush now; it really does make you wonder just how good this Bulldog will be on the next level.

If the voters in college football will wake up and get the right teams in order, we could see Knowshon Moreno facing the Oklahoma Sooners for the National Title Game this year in college football. Knowshon Moreno and the Georgia Bulldogs are the best team in college football and why they would rank any team ahead of them right now is beyond me. The USC Trojans has only 2 wins on the year right now and for some reason they are number 1. The guys from ESPN tell the Georgia fans to relax and they will be there with the strength of their schedule; if they win them all. That might be true, but isn’t the polls there to reflect the current standings and not all of the tomorrows and “what ifs”? This is where college football has a big problem and they know the USC Trojans don’t have a tough schedule and the chances of them landing in the big game is slim to none, but maybe if they stay ranked 1st long enough they will find a way to enter the discussions at the end of the year. How do your rank a team like the Georgia Bulldogs who have 4 wins on the year below a team that has only 2 wins? It makes no sense why USC is number 1 and they only played two games and their 2 wins are proving weaker and weaker as Virginia and Ohio State are not very good football teams. If you want to see the true rankings of college football; then you can check out the real rankings of college football and see that USC is not even a top 10 team currently, because they do have only 2 wins on the year.

Dawgs and Bama get ready for a showdown this weekend in Georgia! It will be the Alabama Crimson Tide coming into Athens this Saturday to see what this Bulldog team is all about. Nick Saban in his 2nd year has the Alabama team playing well. They will have a hard time trying to find a way to stop Knowshon Moreno and all of the offensive weapons Georgia has in their aresenal. There is some talk that this will be a blackout game for Dawg Nation and the team might put on their black jerseys for this one. This is special respect for their border neighbors and it should be interesting to see if the Alabama players get intimidated by the black jerseys and the 90,000+ fans that will be in attendance. The Tide does have a solid football team and they have their own weapons that Georgia will have to slow down, if they expect to keep their perfect record and hopes of a National Title intact.

The first SEC matchup was a good one when the Georgia Bulldogs traveled to South Carolina and had to face a tough Gamecock defense. The old ball coach Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks did all they could do and held the Bulldogs to only 1 touchdown. It will take an effort like that from Alabama and they will have to find a way to put up more than 14 points against one of the best defenses in college football. I think Nick Saban will have his team ready to play on Saturday and it should be interesting to see what Mark Richt has in store for the boys from Bama. I like the Dawgs chances playing in front of their home crowd and this will be one of the few home games the Bulldogs have this year and most of their tough SEC games will be played on the road. The Florida Gators, Auburn and LSU Tigers will be 3 more solid games that the Georgia team will get a chance to prove theirself to the Nation and all opponents will get a first hand look at the talented Knowshon Moreno.

I know they have linked transgram fats with heart disease and it’s not good for us, but it did make our foods taste better. Potato chips or tater chips like we prefer to say in the South are not that good anymore and it’s because we don’t have trans fats in these chips anymore. I wish they would give us a choice if we wanted to eat them or not, because it’s really beginning to hurt the quality of food. The fast food companies have had to change up their cooking oils and we don’t get those tasty transgram fats in their food any more either. I know the people watching their diets could look at this as fat burners and all of the foods they normally eat have less fat in them. I think its fine that we make our foods healthy and I don’t mind having the ability to eat foods with less trans fats in them, but what about the ones that want the taste back? Our government has taken the lead role in this debate and they have turned the food market into a healthier one, but not a tastier one. I want my trans fats back and all the flavor they give the foods we eat everyday. I don’t think that is asking too much and I believe the public has been made aware of the dangers that come from trans fats in our foods.

Today we have better knowledge on weather patterns and things that can happen over the open waters of the ocean. I think this helps us a lot to understand a lot of the Bermuda Triangle mysteries that have happen over the years. I’m still not convinced we know everything and don’t have plans to go through the triangle soon, but I wouldn’t let it stop me from staying in one of the St. Martin villa rentals either that are located in the Caribbean. No matter what science comes up with, I think a lot of folks will let the Triangle continue to be a mystery to man. I think our advancing sciences and technology often leave us with answers we don’t want. I think having a mystery in the Bermuda Triangle area is good and so is Bigfoot. It’s a way for us to escape reality sometimes and gives us hope that there is something beyond our control that exists out there today. If you have never seen the movie about the Bermuda Triangle, I do recommend watching it. It shows a lot of interesting stories that have occurred there and you can learn a lot about the mysteries of the Triangle that we still refer to as the Bermuda Triangle. The maps of today does not recognize the Triangle as existing, so there is no true points that make up the triangle, but you can find consistent sources that state the same area in the Atlantic Ocean.

Today is a day that we will always remember as Americans. It was 7 years ago today that we saw the worse act of terrorism ever on our home soil. 4 airplanes would change the way we think and react to our daily thinking and we have been aggressive in our actions. We might not always agree with the moves we make in other countries, but I think it’s important that we continue to keep the enemy on the run. Let’s not give them the time to breathe or rest peacefully and let them know a attack on this country does mean war. War might not always be the best solution to solving things, but it does give us a chance to make things better in other places and to let out a little frustration too.

I like that song by Toby Keith and I think that sums up the way I feel about 9/11 and today’s times. Let’s continue to weed out the terrorism that exists in the Middle East and every day we get 1 step closer to a peaceful world that we all can live in one day. We owe it to all of the people that lost their life 7 years ago today and their families that continue to fight evil where ever it exist.

I’m lucky that I still have all my senses working for me and I haven’t had any of them that needed help. My hearing is fine and no need for ear aids yet and the eyes see just fine as far as I can tell and I don’t wear eyeglasses. My taste buds still like food and my smelling senses often attract me to those foods. I’m still able to type and know when I hit the keys, so I would say that my touch is working properly and no problems there. I could imagine if I did loose one of my senses or needed help in some way to have them working better and the stress that would come from it. I think we all take things for granted sometime and I have taken my senses for granted. I would just like to take the time now to be thankful that I can still use all of my senses fine and I’m sure many of my friends wished I just had common sense to go along with them!

If you’re on a diet or was thinking about one, you might want to hold off on it for a bit. The football season is just now beginning and laying around on the couch all weekend long watching football isn’t the best way to shed those pounds. It doesn’t help seeing all the food commercials you will have to endure during this time. So just put the diet pills up for now and make sure the cable bill is paid and the television is tuned properly. We don’t want any disturbances once kick off gets here and it’s the best time of the year! All the college teams are ready and the NFL teams are ready and now the only question that remains is; are you ready?

I am lucky to have lived in the same house for about 30 years now and haven’t had to deal with moving to a new home. I have had  moving boxes that were big enough to put a car into.

I know most of our living rooms or dens have coffee tables and was just curious to what extent do they get used in your household. Is your coffee table like the one at the doctor’s office where it just holds a few magazines, pictures and perhaps a TV Guide? Is your coffee table more like a dinner table in the kitchen and drinks and people are constantly eating off of it? Maybe you just use it like the recliner or the couch in your living rooms and you just like having a coffee table to throw your feet up on while watching television. I personally don’t like going to places where you’re not allowed to put your feet on the coffee table or you have to have a drink coaster to sit a drink on the coffee table. I think all coffee tables should be used for feet, food, drinks and to sit the magazines, daily mail and newspapers on. The more ways you can use your coffee table to make life easier for you, I say go for it! Be sure to let me know how you use your coffee table.

The Dow plunged more than 300 points on Thursday and this was one of the sharpest drops we have seen in a long time. Presidential election on the horizon, multiple hurricanes heading for the U.S., current global situations and gas prices didn’t mix well with the latest jobless claim numbers that came out today. You start factoring in all of these things and you could have almost forecasted a sharp drop like this. The Dow dropping 344 points on Thursday does create panic on Wall Street and investors that follow the market daily are probably a little worried too. So are we looking at a buying opportunity right now? Its possible investors could surge ahead a bit over the next 12 months with the bargain basement prices that are out there now on most stocks. I still would hold off making a large investment into the market until things become clearer. There will be a window for investors in November after the elections are over and we are almost done with the current hurricane season. However, waiting until Turkey Day might be a little too late and the 2nd week in November is primed for investors to take advantage of stocks that have sharp drops. So don’t rush into the market just yet and see if the market makes 1 or 2 more corrections before we start to see the usual late year surge as the holiday season approaches.
