I think fighting with my computer is an everyday thing now. I don’t have a lot of computer knowledge or skills and that’s probably my first problem there. The biggest troubles I have is with internet speed and getting rid of the junk on my computer. I run a few programs to remove spyware and check for viruses, so that works out pretty well most of the time. I do try to keep the cache and cookies erased, so that helps to free up memory and can improve my speed. I’m sure my computer could use more ram and my speed on the internet would improve. Since I’m not the computer whiz and have limited knowledge, I don’t know if I could do something like that on my own or not. I usually just play with a computer for a couple of years and by that time I have everything so out of whack, that it’s just best for me to go buy a new one. When you get a new computer, you do have a lot better features and the technology grows everyday in the computer industry. So buying new computers is one way I stay up-to-date on all the latest computer technology. Even though I might not understand everything I have on my computer, I do understand that the faster I can surf online, does equal more time I can save. I haven’t messed this computer up too bad yet, so maybe I will see if a novice like me could add some more memory to my computer.

I have 4 nephews and they are kind of divided in pairs. I have twin 3 year old nephews and their older brothers are 13 and 15 years old. So there is a big age difference in their family, but the two older boys remind me of my self; when I was their age. You can just listen to them talking about school, getting in fights and girls and it all sounds too familiar. I do get a chuckle from time to time and I doubt they realize just how much I know they are up to. They try to be sly, but I can often see through them and know what’s going on. It is funny to see how they are starting to like girls now, so that means always looking your best and never running out of your acne treatment. I didn’t have a lot of pimples growing up, but the few I had, I would try everything in the world to get rid of them. Your appearance is everything while growing up as a teen, so you do whatever it takes to look your best for the gals out there. My two older nephews don’t realize what I know now, but I think when their twin 3 year old brothers get their age, they will be able to look through them, the same way I am looking through them right now.

The pirates of long ago are all gone these days, but there is a new breed that tracks over the open waters these days. These people would be the treasure hunters that are looking for gold, silver and maybe Tahitian pearls, as they scour the vast oceans of the world. Even if they don’t find a sunken treasure chest with all sorts of goodies in it, they can still find boats and ships that have met their doom and lie resting on the ocean’s floor. A number of airplanes have gone missing over the seas and some of those aircrafts have never been found before either.

I would love to take a year off and go out and try to find these lost treasures that are buried deep under the salty waters of the oceans. I do have a fear of sharks and not sure I would want to dive into the open waters and just on Friday there was a swimmer that lost his life in California due to a shark attack. I would hope that I could just have good tracking devices that would put me on the buried ships and planes. I wouldn’t mind having one of those little submarine things that you could go down in and see if there was anything of value laying on the ocean’s floor that way. However, not only do I have a fear of sharks, but I am Closter phobic too, so I hadn’t quiet worked out all the details in my quest for buried treasures. I do think it would be fun to spend a year on the water and if you’re going to be out there that long, you might as well get a lot of fishing in and keep an eye out for the treasures at sea!

I sometimes hear about people cashing in their life insurance policies and getting extra money they need for something. I’m not really sure how that works and I figured the only time you could cash it in, is when your no longer here to receive it. I’m not real up-to-date on all the ways to find extra money these days and I don’t know a lot about life insurance either. I don’t currently have a life insurance policy for my self and I haven’t even took the time to get a life insurance quote to see just how much it would cost. I’m really not in a position right now to get involved in anything extra, but investing in a life insurance policy would be smart. It could also come in handy if you needed emergency cash and could cash it in early to help out in a crisis situation. I do think we all need insurance for various things and it really might be more important to have life insurance than any of the other types of insurances that are out there.

The economy is not in great shape right now and the way gas prices continue to increase, it doesn’t look like we will have any relief any time soon. Most people now realize just how much gas prices affect everything that we buy each day. I hope we learn that gas isn’t the only thing that affects our daily lives and our air quality and water supplies are more precious and we need to take care of them as well. Once the problem gets too bad with our air or water, it’s not going to be easy to fix. So taking small steps now will make a big difference later on. I think we should all try to find ways to use less energy. We need to drive our cars less, but let’s also turn off a few things in the home and a lot of things we have plugged into the walls now, we could probably do without. Some of the VCR’s and clock radio’s that we don’t use a lot, should be unplugged until we need them. Most have a small light on them that burns energy away 24 hours a day. I also think installing motion sensor lights outside and inside the home is a great way to save electricity. We don’t always need the room’s main light source and should use smaller light sources to take care of our needs in certain rooms of the house. This might seem very small but if we all do a little bit, it will make a big difference for us all down the road. Let’s start taking care of the environment around us now, before it is too late!

Anytime you leave your own country to visit a foreign land, you never know what you might be entering. Countries have different laws and regulations and if your not careful, you could be breaking a law and not even know it. You also have to be aware of health issues and sometimes you could get sick by traveling to another country. You really would want to seek travel health insurance, so in case you did come down with something from another nation. There are strict rules on what you can and can’t bring into certain countries and many of these deal with the eco system and health related issues. You probably have enough problems in your own country to deal with and you certainly don’t want any new problems to arise if you visit a new country. So play it safe and do your research so you can have the best time possible on foreign soil.

So many people in corporate America have offices they spend 40 hours a week in each week. So a big part of their daily lives are in an office environment, so being happy at the office would be key on the state of these employees. Sometimes you might have a co-worker you don’t like or perhaps your office space is small and you feel like you’re cramped up all day. If you’re going to spend so much time in the office, I would really look for the best ways to make your self happy. I’m not sure what the office space Connecticut or the office space in some other state is like, but I would think having a large area would benefit you greatly. If you don’t currently have that, talk to your boss and explain the problem so he or she might be able to help you get more office space. I would also suggest that same advice if you had a fellow employee that was hard to work with or gets on your nerves. It never hurts to ask and maybe sometime next week your boss could accommodate your wishes. I believe any boss wants to make their employees feel as comfortable as possible, so seek their help if you’re trying to find more happiness at the office!

I have never been to Australia, but do have online friends that live there. It seems lilke a great place to live and they really have some extreme weather conditions down there. The heat and rains can really last for weeks at certain times of the year and sometimes they have to deal with massive wild fires. The wild life is incredible in Oz and the late Steve Erwin brought the critters from Australia to the attention of many Americans and my self included.

I really think the New Zealand area is one of the prettiest places on Earth. I would like to visit New Zealand some day and see all the beauty it posses in person. I would like to visit Melbourne and Sydney and see some of the other major cities in Australia too. I believe it would be a good trip to make and very educational, but a trip to Australia would need to be planned for a 1 month stay or longer. I just don’t think a 1 week’s vacation to the place down under would be long enough to see all the great things Australia has to offer.

The Masters in Augusta, Georgia has just held their annual tournament that they do for one weekend in April. It was completed last weekend and now it makes me wonder how many golfers will be hitting the courses this weekend. I’m sure many seen how easy the greatest players in the world make golf look on television last weekend. So many golfers will be trying to do that this weekend and it will find golf isn’t as easy as it looks on television. I do enjoy playing golf, but I don’t play enough to maintain a consistent stroke or score on the greens. It’s fun to get with your friends and take the Callaway golf clubs out and hit a few golf balls. If it’s me hitting them, there is no telling where the ball might go, but 1 out of every 10 times I do manage to hit a nice straight shot and put my ball in a path toward the hole. I guess there will be no golf for me this weekend with rain in the forecast, but watching the Masters in Georgia last week, did pump me up and now I can’t wait to get out there and play some golf.

Do you know someone that is expecting soon? Are you getting ready to throw them a good old fashion baby shower? The important thing is to invite as many people as you can to the baby shower and that will result in more gifts for the parents. Baby showers are a time to let down your guards and personal feelings and do what’s right for the new baby that will be coming along soon. So bite your tongue and invite the friends and relatives that get on your nerves and you will see that they will come bearing gifts just as much as the people you like will be doing. Have fun with planning your baby shower and I hope you have a great turnout for the special occasion!

Stocks might be ready to take a jump as the weather begins to warm. I’m staying put for the momment and will wait to see where the market goes from here. I still see bargains across the board and you don’t have to look hard to find good deals on stocks right now. It is a great buying opportunity for the brave investors and if you’re are not so brave right now, you should see an upswing soon. I think the financial stocks are the best plays right now and they are a safe play. Banking stocks and the credit card companies seem to be holding their own and I expect a big increase for many of these companies in 2008. See if you can find one of the big credit card companies or a banking stock to add to your investment portfolio. I think you will be pleased with the returns in 12 months and especially if you compare it to some of the other sectors in the market. Feel free to keep money pouring into the financial sector of your portfolios and your money is real safe there right now. Wall Street will survive this recession we are in and so will you, just stick to what you know and try to take advantage of the great buying opportunity that the market has created for us right now.

Yes, we have reached the best time of the year and it’s great to see spring has finally arrived. New flowers are blossoming and you can hear the birds chirping with more crispness in their chirps. So now is the time to start your spring cleaning chores and to start working up the land to plant our vegetable and flower gardens in. I’m sure a lot of people have already started and every weekend now the stores are filled with people buying their potting soil, seeds, plants and the garden decor for outside. It’s a chance to make a brand new start and apply all of our green thumb knowledge that we learned from the previous year.

I did learn some new things last year and I hope I won’t make the same mistakes again. Last year I planted my tomato plants too soon and they had to endure freezing temps as a late season cold front fell on North Georgia. We also suffered one of the worse droughts in our state’s history and another one is forecasted for this summer too. So I won’t be having a huge garden this year and will only plant a few tomato plants that I can water by hand if needed. We have done real well on the rainfall totals for 2008, but we still have a long ways to go and hopefully the wet stuff will continue to fall from the sky. It is nice to see our lakes and rivers filled up with water again and even the small creeks have a lot of life in them right now. I wish everyone luck with their gardens for 2008 and be sure to pass along any gardening tips you might have or any garden tips that you learned from last year.

The cables and wires have so much more technology in them now; than just a few years ago. Remember in the early 1990’s when everyone was just logging in to the World Wide Web for the first time? So many of us was trying to push a ton of information through our phone wires to get to the internet and those times have changed. It wasn’t the fastest way to get around on the internet, but it’s nice to see we have broadband connections now and can move around a lot faster. New technology comes out every day that gives us bettering wiring systems and cables to use for our computers, video cameras, iPods, printers and scanners and all of those other gadgets we like to play around with. You will continue to see this field grow with other new things that will come on the market and there will always be improvements made to our wires, cables or even the CAT5e products that are available. The future looks bright for electronics and all the gadgets we use every day to make our lives easier.
