So just a day after her big 16th birthday the You Tube Sensation is bored! Alex is not currently at home right now and I think she will be much better when she gets a chance to see her friends and gets to celebrate her birthday with them. It was Friday March 28th when Alex turned 16 years old. I have been documenting her videos since she turned 15 years old at You Tube. So 1 year later you can tell a big difference in Alex’s videos from singing to appearance. It’s given us all the chance to watch her grow up in front of our eyes through the most popular place in the world for uploading your videos at You Tube.

The You Tube Star from Mexico is a star in the making that many others haven’t had a chance to do in their lifetimes. Some of the most talented people in the world never get noticed due to where they live or just never meet the right person to get them started. The You Tube Sensation Alex might have just been another one of those people, but with her dedication to uploading videos from her home in Mexico, it’s giving her exposure that thousands and thousands of people will get to see. You Tube will probably be responsible for over 1 million people getting the chance to see the young talented star singing and playing instruments in the comforts of her home just outside of Mexico City in Mexico State. The internet is creating a whole new way to find stars and the brightest one currently, might just be hanging out in front of her webcam in Mexico right now.

Safety should always be our first concern and it’s no different we plan the family vacation or go on a trip. We get travel insurance to help with our safety needs financially, but we should also look at our physical needs.

You might think I’m crazy, but I really like the way the homes were built in the 1970′s. It seems a lot of them were bricked and they were just so cozy inside. You can see this in a lot of movies that were made in the 1970′s or 1980′s and see some of these homes. They are not as nice on the outside as the homes of today, but I love that feeling they had inside of them.

The 1970′s den is what I liked the best; the den that would have a couple of steps going down to a sunken room in the house. Some dens would carpet the floor and the walls giving it that extra cozy feeling. You could usually see a fish aquarium in the den, along with a few wine racks. Yes, this is how the 1970 dens were set up and if I ever build a house, I might decide to go retro in the den, in tribute to all those great 1970 dens that existed back in the day.

Get your votes in now for your favorite team to run the table. There has been so many upsets to this point, I don’t think there is a clear favorite to the teams that reamain in the field of 65 from the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament. I love the tournament format in college basketball; where all the team compete on a neutral court and actual games are played to determine the winner. We have no ranking system in place and we really get to see which men’s college basketball team is the best.

I’m not picking a team at this point to win it all. I would love to hear you think might win it all this year. Is your favorite or hometown team still playing? Our economy is still the main topic in the media and for the presidential candidates that hope to take office in November. It’s really hard to get a gauge on things right now and your best bet is to stuff that money in a shoebox and put it in the closet. I actually like the current state and I have continued to feed money into this shrinking market we are in today. I just don’t think it can continue to go down and I am hoping for a big up swing in the near future. Some are even worried about the money in their bank accounts and some have begun to withdraw large sums of cash from their banks.

I hope these great values will lead to a money making opportunity in the future, for those of us that have stayed the course in these trying times. I’m sure as we lay our heads down at night or go for a hot bath in the walk in tubs it’s on our minds. I just try to stay positive and know if the stock market was to collapse all together, our country would be in much tougher times than the little bit of money we might have lost. So I am not backing down yet and look forward to see if the warm weather can pick up this lagging economy.

March Madness is here and colleges all over America will be rooting on their favorite 65 teams in the field this year. It’s great to see the young men and women that attend these games and all the support they give for their schools. Some of the bigger name schools know how to do it right and you will see a hundred or more students that will all be wearing the school t-shirts or just funny t-shirts. These are the future leaders of our countries that are attending the major colleges and for some of them, it will be the last bit of fun they have in their young adult lives.

I’m not sure who will win it all this year, as the Big Dance begins today, but I know there will be 65 teams that will be giving it their all in this NCAA tourney. There is not another playoff system better than college basketball. You have teams competing on neutral courts for each game and that makes it a level playing field for all involved. I really wish the NCAA would get a football system in place; so the 4 best teams at the end of the year could play each other and we could truly crown a champion in college football. Good luck to all of those that will be rooting on their favorite college teams this year and it really should be a good game between O.J. Mayo and Michael Beasley in their first round match up tonight. I think Mayo and Beasley will both be top 5 picks in the NBA Draft in June and one of these very talented freshmen will have played his last basketball game in college tonight.

Malibu is one of the most desired locations in America to live. Only the most rich and famous make up the exclusive community and my bank account doesn’t allow me to live there right now. Hopefully someday I will have a house in Malibu and be able to drive around the streets seeing all the actors and rock stars that the residents of Malibu get to see every day. I could even spend time at my Malibu home when I had to attend my drug rehab programs. I think many of the people living in Malibu have to go through at least one type of drug or alcohol program in their lives. I guess it just comes with the territory of trying to uphold your name and prestige; many are forced to turn to drugs to handle all the pressure and stress from life in Malibu. I don’t think I will be making the move in 2008 to the west coast, but it would be nice to at least have the wealth to live in a place like Malibu, California.

Over the weekend we had some very bad weather in the state of Georgia. Tornados in Atlanta and Georgia were the topic around these parts all weekend long. We had one 5 minute hail storm that came through dropping golf ball size hail and I’m sure it damaged a lot of cars and other things that were left outside. I pulled my car under the carport and managed to escape any hail damage from my car. Once the hail storm had passed, they was a sharp smell of pine in the air. I guess all the hail breaking all the limbs around my house, cause the smell of pine to be in the air. We have smelled pine trees like this in the past, when a tornado or somehing would come through and knock down a lot of trees. It’s really a strange feeling to smell pine trees so strong after a storm and you know that there is going to be damage somewhere; when you can smell pine in the air.

This isn’t something you normally see in the state of Georgia. We normally get 2 to 3 inches every year, but with global warming, we are lucky to get 1 inch these days. This is about the 5th time it has snowed this year and it’s nice to have the opportunity to see it this many times. I feel just like a kid getting their toys on Christmas morning. I have always loved the snow. I think my first true love came for the white stuff, when I learned we could miss school from too much of it. So a good dusting of snow has always been a good friend of mine!

Since I have grown up and don’t get to miss school anymore from a big snow fall, there is still a part of me that gets excited to see schools closing when it snows. This is the 2nd snow this year that has fell on the weekend. Snow on the weekend in Georgia is no good and there is a good chance by Monday it will be gone or the roads will be safe enough to drive on. So I know the kids are all out there rooting for weekday snow and the ones in high school might even be rooting against weekend snow; because that cuts into their time at the malls, movie theaters and spending time on their dates.

I just never get tired of the snow and I’m sure the people up north would find that hard to imagine. We just don’t get it enough in the south, so it’s always something to see, no matter how many times you have already seen it. As kids we would find all the hills around and anything that would slide down it, would become a sled for us. Once we get old enough to drive, we like the parts about taking the 4 wheel drive vehicles out and spinning around in the snow. I have owned two different jeeps in my lifetime and had loads of fun in both of them, every time we had a big snow storm to hit Georgia. My Jeeps have been like toys for me and I’m just glad I never did mess one of them up; while playing around in the snow. I don’t think the snow falling now will close schools on Monday and may not even be enough to build a snowman with; but at least we can sit back in our warm houses and watch it fly from the windows!

Who do you turn to for your doughnuts in the morning or when you get the doughnut cravings? I have to admit that I like my doughnuts. I have liked them as a small child and continue to put them away by the dozens today. If your talking just a regular plain doughnut; then I give the nod to Krispey Kreme. I like floating down the river. My local river here in Georiga is called the Etowah River and I have floated down it several times. I was about 18 years old when I did it for the first time and it was an interesting trip, seeing parts of a city that I have lived in my whole life, but never had seen before. Floating down the river is a great way to see new and interesting things. Just make sure you take plenty of beverages to drink and why not do a little fishing; when you decide to float down the river too.

I could only imagine what it would be like to float down the Mississippi River. I’m not sure exactly where it starts at, but I would love to float down the entire length of the Mighty Mississippi River. I know the journey would take me through several states and I bet there would be tons to see on the way to the Gulf of Mexico. If you have ever been on the Mississippi River; then please share your story with me. Even if it was a short trip or perhaps you was on one of those gambling boats that stay docked out in the river. Tell me your Mississippi River stories. I’m not sure the time it would take to make the journey, but I bet the speed on the Mississippi River would be a lot faster than the speed I was doing on the Etowah River in Cherokee County, Georgia. The distance would be much greater and I would probably need supplies that would last me for weeks. I doubt I could get all of my supplies on board at one time, so I would make a stop along the way to pick up new supplies. I think it would be an awesome trip and the reward at the end; knowing that you just floated the Mississippi River, would be something a lot of people couldn’t say. Floating down any river is a great way to get out and enjoy nature and if you haven’t never tried it before, you must do it this summer!

Getting some great  travel deals used to be a challenge before we got online. We would go to Allatoona Lake and camp at Sweetwater Beach, Old Macedonia or Stamp Creek for our spring breaks. Those were some good times we had and during our fun in the sun, we could go back to school and show off our sunburns while others were showing theirs off from the Florida sun. I’m sure there will be a lot of excited young people when the 2008 Spring Break Season finally gets here!

The Japanese might be ahead of all the other countries when it comes to the technology of robots. Japan is trying to create robots that will help replace an aging work force in their country. This is not plans for tomorrow or decades into the future either. They already have robots in Japan that can make sushi and plant rice. It might not be too much longer before the restaurants in Japan have robots serving customers food. I love eating at the Japanese restaurants in the Untied States. The ones where they come out to your table and prepare the food in front of you. If you have never been to a Japanese restaurant, you owe it to your self to go check one out someday. Find one of those that will have a chef come out to your table and cook the food right in front of your eyes. The food tastes great and the whole family will be entertained at the Japanese Chef that will twirl the knives around and make the flames shoot up real high on the heated surface they are preparing your food from. Be sure to come hungry, because they will give you more than you can eat! I would imagine a robot could perform some of these functions and prepare the food for you. I’m sure a live human would need to check-in from time to time, to make sure the customer’s questions were all answered.

Robots in Japan already have jobs like receptionists, they can spoon feed the elderly and don’t be surprised if you see a robot vacuuming your hotel room the next time your in Tokyo. I think robot technology is fascinating and would love to see more of it in the U.S.. I’m sure the field will be growing globally over the next century and it looks like Japan will be leading the way. Jobs would pay real good in a high-tech job working with robots. So for anybody in high school or college now trying to find a good paying field to go into, be sure to check and see what types of training exist for robots. Let’s just hope our society doesn’t become too dependant on them and when they breakdown, there will be a live person there to step-in and complete the task the robot was assigned to do. I know a few sceince fiction movies take this scenario overboard and actually have the robots turning on man. It would be a great tool for the police to use in situations where an armed individual is a threat to society and the robot could be used as a weapon for those type of people. I know bomb squads already have robots in place to help them take care of mysterious packages or items that might have a bomb in them. So the future looks bright for robots and it looks like Japan will be giving us a map to the future and all the ways we can use robots in our daily lives.

Have you ever seen one of those large fish aquariums that people will have built into their wall? It makes you wonder how they can feed the fish like that. I guess they don’t do it the old-fashion way and probably have fish feeders that will automatically feed the fish. I always wondered if it would be inconvenient to feed the fish or change out the water in a big tank like that.

I would love to have a wall in my house or a petition between two rooms that would hold one of these mammoth size tanks. I might have to wait until my lottery numbers come out, but having an indoor waterfall running down the rocks of your fireplace or a huge fish aquarium just sets off the inside of your home. I guess it’s just the fact seeing water that you normally would find outside, being seen in an indoor setting.

If your not sure what I’m talking about, by having a large fish aquarium as a petition in your home; perhaps you have went to a seafood restaurant and seen one there. I have seen lobsters and big fish in some of these tanks you find at the seafood restaurants. Most will have the aquarium in the lobby or near the front door when you first walk in. The kids love watching the fish swim around in these huge tanks and the adults do too! I just think it would be perfect for a home that has a wall or petition between the kitchen and dining room to install a big fish tank between those rooms. It would certainly be the main topic of discussion anytime you had friends or relatives over for a visit.

I’m not sure the cost one of these huge aquariums would be; maintenance, water and electricity for the pumps and lights would be low in cost. The food is not expensive for fish and it really is a good idea to get an automatic fish feeder, so the fish can be fed during emergencies or vacations. The utility bill would probably just go up a couple of extra bucks each month. I would want some exotic fish in my tank and I would probably spend a little extra to have rare or big fish with bright and bold colors swimming around in my aquarium wall. Maybe I wouldn’t need the lottery to have a fish tank in my wall. I believe the more I think about it, the more possible it might be for me to afford one of these huge fishing tanks!

A great stereo that would play tapes, cds, records and the radio to hook up to the sound system and maybe a few instruments and amps for my friends that actually know how to play music. I would also need a huge selection of music so I could have the music my company would prefer to hear and maybe some nice audio racks in each corner of the room.
