Kohls are popping up all over the place right now and if your hometown or city doesn’t have one yet, it might just be a matter of time. These stores are similar to a K Mart, Target or Wal Mart. Kohls isn’t the only store you should look to save money with and be patient with your purchases online. It doesn’t take much effort to find online coupons for many of the top stores that people shop online at every day. Why pay full price when there is tons of ways to save money?

The PTC websites are in trouble with Pay Pal. It appears that a lot of PTC or Paid To Click companies are having their accounts frozen by Pay Pal. Its an effort on Pay Pal’s part to try and rid their systems of these PTC sites or your Bux websites. These sites have to be generating huge money for Pay Pal; so it’s a bold move to freeze some of the PTC websites.

Alert Pay is the choice people are turning to and if you’re a member at a PTC website or one of those Bux websites; you should really consider signing up with Alert Pay. They are going to be taken up the slack and void that Pay Pal is going to be leaving in this very vital market place to people that like to market products and services online. You might want to hold off on any cash you put into one of these websites; untl you’re sure that your Bux or PTC website has AlertPay for an online payment processor.

That is the same time the NHL All Star Game starts here in Atlanta too! So I guess I will have to turn the television around in my bedroom so I can watch the hockey game and start surfing when Traffic era first opens things up. The sound of water dripping from a faucet can be one of two things. It can drive you nuts or it could be a soothing sound while lying in bed at night. If you have this problem, you might want to convince your self it’s the latter of the two. If that noise does drive you crazy, just go ahead and get it fixed. Maybe something simple will fix it or you can just go pick up one of the Danze faucets. Even if something simple does fix your leaky faucet, it still might not last long. If you have someone around that can install it for you; it’s probably best to go ahead and slap on a new one. It’s really important to get that leak fix if you live in an area experiencing a drought right now. North Georgia has been going through one of its worst droughts ever and if someone had a leaky faucet in our area, they would just be wasting valuable water. It might not seem like much, but when your area is expected to be bone-dry in the fall of 2008; it lets you know that every drip is important!

I think Jim Cramer was right on the nose with this one. It does appear we are heading into a recession. The Feds did cut rates the other day, but even that seems like a temporary band-aid on the situation. I still think we have to look at the economy in terms of a presidential-election year. Historically the markets have all been strong during these years and I think we can rebound by November. I still see this as a great buying opportunity and you can find bargains across the board. No need for any stock tips, because everything is under-valued at this point. I still like to lean toward the big pharma stocks. Look at the big medical stocks like Merck or Pfizer and see if one of these makes sense for your portfolio.

The baby boomers are going to be needing all those medical supplies and medicines and I still see excellent growth opportunity in all the medical related stocks. The pharmacies like Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, etc… still look attractive to me. I even like the pharmacy department at Wal Mart. I’m not a big fan of Wal Mart and their stock as a whole isn’t attractive to me; but investing in Wal Mart to capture gains from their pharmacy department could be possible. So continue to look for the stocks that may be medical related and I would do this for the rest of this year and even into the summer of 2010. I’m going to check in on the baby boomer section again in 2010 and see if medical stocks still hold buying opportunities. The vacation stocks or crusie line stocks are still a little risky to me; but look for other stocks that the baby boomers might be using in their golden years.

I think to take your date out to a place where you can go horse back riding is a good idea. If you need something for a Saturday or Sunday; that will take most of the day up, choosing to saddle up on a horse could be a fun date. If you’re a lady looking to surprise your man with some fun, maybe getting a horse riding session set up would be something he would enjoy? Now for the guys out there, you really don’t want to surprise the ladies with this. Be sure to give them advance warning so they can go pick up some equestrian riding apparel for your date. I say this for your benefit, because the ladies really look good in those tight pants that the female riders wear. Horse riding apparel just brings out the best that a woman has to offer.

If you don’t think there is any place to ride horses close to your home; be sure to try and search for information online. There is usually a place within an hour’s drive for most people in the USA that offers horse back riding to the public. It really is a fun date for the guys and the girls both! If you can’t find the trails the horses are riding on, maybe you can just go hiking the trails on foot. Be sure to enjoy and take-in the nature while you’re out there. Have fun!

No matter how you try to market a product or service, there is really no bad way of doing it. You can have more effective ways of marketing your interest, but as long as you’re out there doing something, you really can’t call it bad marketing. Something as simple as advertising pens, to show off a brief description or logo from your business is an excellent way to market your interests. Those pens might be bringing you potential customers years on down the line, after you put them out. If you do a little something everyday, there will be a time and place where everything all meets at one point and your business will just snowball. Take steps each and every day to promote your business the best way you see fit and in time; you will certainly see the results.

It wasn’t in the northern part like they thought it would be, but the folks in Atlanta and south of Atlanta is getting a pretty good bit of snow right now. Our temps are about to plument over the next 24 hours and it’s going to be really cold. So there is a good chance for the people in Georgia that has snow on the ground now, it will be sticking around for sometime.

Interesting developments taking place on the drought in Northern Georgia. Just a couple of days ago they announced that Lake Allatoona had reached it’s full level pool for this time of the year. So the drought is over for places like Cherokee County, Cobb County and Bartow County, right? Not so fast, they still say that the area around Lake Allatoona is in a drought situation. Huh? What exactly is a drought? Isn’t it when the water levels are below what they should be? When rain hasn’t fell in a really long time? We have been getting nice amounts of rain and snow over the last month, the lake is where it normally is, but they still say we are in a drought? I think that’s a little bit of hogwash and no we are not in a drought anymore. We might have minimal levels of supply and a drought could be forecasted for the near future, but as of January 19th for the folks around the Etowah River in Canton and the surrounding areas of Lake Allatoona; we are not in a drought!

I was asked to try a couple of different Grey Poupon Mustards and give an honest review about them. I’m sure many of you have seen the commercials for Grey Poupon . The commercials that show someone in a car pulling up beside someone else in a car and saying “Pardon me, would you have any Grey Poupon?”.

Now there are 7 different types of Grey Poupon Mustards; they are Dijon, Deli, Mild & Creamy, Hearty Spicy Brown, Savory Honey, Harvest Coarse Ground and Country Dijon. The good folks from the Kraft Foods Corporation sent me 2 of these to try out and see how I would like them. I received the Hearty Spicy Brown and the Harvest Coarse Ground as my two samples to try. There is many things you can use Grey Poupon with like poultry, beef and pork to just name a few. You also have a lot of recipes for Grey Poupon and you can find signature recipes and cocktail recipes from the Grey Poupon website. I decided to give my taste buds the chance to try Grey Poupon on a hot dog.

 My first choice was the Hearty Spicy Brown and it tasted pretty good on the hot dog. I then tried the Harvest Coarse Ground and I didn’t like that one as well. It might just be my taste buds, because my mama preferred the Harvest Coarse Ground one. I’m usually the type of person that has to eat something a few times before I really know if I like it or not. The Harvest Coarse Ground might just be an acquired taste that you have to get use to, but I would much rather have the Hearty Spicy Brown mustard. If you have never tried Grey Poupon’s version of the spicy mustard; you should really pick up a jar the next time your at the grocery store.

I really appreciate Kraft and the people that work hard everyday to produce such fancy mustards like Grey Poupon, the chance to blog about their products on my blog. There is a lot of mustard in these jars they sent out, it wasn’t just enough for 1 hot dog. I have enough Grey Poupon Mustard to eat dozens and dozens of hot dogs. My mama and I both liked the Hearty Spicy Mustard and we had a split decision on the Harvest Coarse Ground Mustard. I really think that the Harvest Coarse Ground might be a better mustard suited for recipes than just to eat on a hotdog or hamburger.

The DOW took a 277 point plunge today and things could get worse on Wednesday when some disappointing numbers are expected to be posted. I think the market has factor in a lot of that today and I don’t expect a big slip tomorrow, like today was.

Now Jim Crammer the smartest man on Wall Street in my opinion is predicting a recession. We might just be headed that way and things are going to get interesting this Spring and Summer to see where the price of oil winds up. Don’t panic if your invested into the market right now. Its just another buying opportunity and we actually love to see these. I know we have had a lot of opportunities lately, but just chalk this one up again. The market is going to get straight soon and we will be begging for some of these low cost stocks like we are seeing now. Those $100 stocks that you have admired from a distance could dip into double digits and this might be the time to stock up on the $90 stocks. A lot of good companies could come into this range and if you see stocks that were priced over one hundred dollars a share drop into the 90′s; it might be a good time to pull the trigger. Pull it softly in case that 90 dollar stock becomes an 80 dollar stock, but just keep pulling it and it will work out.

Remember……this is a buying opportunity! Buying opportunity!

It takes something different and unique if you want to stand out in a crowd these days. If you are out promoting your company in the newspaper; you will want to write up an ad and do something that will make it stick out to the readers. Maybe your company has a trade show coming up; then you will want to make sure you have some of the best trade show displays to go with. Don’t just get a used trade show display; when you can get a new one and save it for years to come. A new display can give you that edge from your competitors and you will want your display to make your company stick out at the trade show. Perhaps your company promotes itself online and your having to advertise on the internet. There is a lot of competiton out there right now online and giving your online ads something exciting and unique can be tough. You will want to add all the bells and whistles you can think of; so your online advertising just screams for attention. No matter what your goals might be, you will find more success by sticking out from the crowd; instead of just being another member in it. So the next time you have to write up a newspaper ad, put together an online advertisement or just have to get a great trade show display together, remember to give it something that no one else has!

It was an exciting weekend to watch football on the tube. The NFL playoffs had a few suprises and some that weren’t a surprise. The most interesting might have been in Green Bay where the field was covered in snow and that was some game to watch. Seattle got off to a good start, but the home team would take over in that contest as the Green Bay Packers will advance in the playoffs. The Packers will be facing the New York Giants who upset the Dallas Cowboys at home Sunday. Eli Manning will now have to get his guys ready again, as they will be going into the cold Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Eli and Peyton could face each other in a Super Bowl one day, but it won’t happen this year. The San Diego Chargers pulled off another road upset, as they beat the Colts at home in the playoffs. So the Chargers will move on to face a team that no one has had a answer for yet. The New England Patriots just keep rolling and they ended the Jacksonville Jaguars season on Saturday. I wish the Colts would have won, because the San Diego Chargers has absolutely no chance of beating the New England Patriots. The Patriot fans can already start celebrating, because they will be in the Super Bowl this year!

So my Super Bowl prediction right now will have the Giants from the Big Apple taking on another team from the Northeast in the New England Patriots. These two northeastern NFL teams will be traveling out west to dual it out for the 2007 Season in the 2008 Super Bowl! Get ya popcorn ready!

We all want to be successful in our investments and getting tips is always helpful. If you haven’t started investing in our economy yet, now is a good time to stat. The markets are getting ready to go on a nice ride and you want to get on now; while the getting’s good!

I sure wish I could win the lottery or something, so I could design my own game room. I would have a pool table, air hockey, full-size video games, a bar and the bar stools to go with it! I would leave no stone unturned as I designed my game room. I also think you have to get a dart board and maybe one of those 50 plus inch televisions too. Add a few theater style seats in front of the big screen tv, so everyone could be comfortable watching the big game. It would really be nice to have the funds to design your own game room and being able to go all out on it. I guess my final design would have my game room bigger than the average 3 bedroom houses, that a family of four would be living in for middle class America. I guess I would tweak it down a bit, but the wet-bar in the Jacuzzi would have to stay!

I saw an article on MSN today talking about stocks for the energy crisis. That seems like a tough area to try and tackle, but Jim Jubak came away with 5 stocks that he likes for trying to make money from the energy crisis. I’m not sure I agree with his analysis and I believe you can find a lot better ways to invest your money. I don’t think I would want to gamble on the energy crisis stocks and the companies he came away with; I’m not totally sold on.

1. Itron (ITRI)

2. Flowserve (FLS)

3. General Electric (GE)

4. Shaw Group (SGR)

5. Gorman-Rupp (GRC)

I usually like the way Jim Jubak approaches his picks and the stocks he comes away with, but I’m not sold on this grouping of stocks. Flowserve is the one I like best of the group, but I like them for a long-term play and not necessarily any energy crisis play. I think anybody investing in General Electric these days is just going to be spinning their tires in mud. GE is a big company and they have a lot of resources, but as big as they are, they have never set any trends or been a leader on Wall Street in my opinion. I don’t recommend buying General Electric stock for now or in the future. They are just not a company that has their head screwed on their shoulders right and I assume Jim Jubak owns a big portion of his employer’s stock and he’s been waiting for it to take off for the last 10 years or so. Its just never going to do that and I have worries that GE could be collapsing in the near future. Not an Enron type collapse, but a collapse that would be bringing in no new money to your investment portfolio. Stay away from General Electric and if you want to invest in any of these stocks for the energy crisis, go with Flowserve!
