The BlogCatalog buzz experiment started by Mona was a huge success. The real message of the experiment was that the BlogCatalog community can come together & accomplish amazing things.

Since the Buzz Experiment, the BlogCatalog team has looked for a way to pull the community together for a Charitable cause that will benefit Children. It is amazing how challenging it was to find a way for the community to contribute directly to a charity without there being a tax to BlogCatalog and without us having to collect the donations.

Today however we found an organization called DonorsChoose.org that makes it really easy to hold a Community Fundraising Event and we are really excited to announce the NEW BlogCatalog Community Challenge for Public School Teachers and Students

Let’s come together on May 28th. and prove that bloggers can do a whole bunch of good and that we aren’t limited to chronic complainers, contrarians or people who just want to hear the sound of their own voice.

The purpose of the BlogCatalog Community Fundraising Event is to come together and raise money for our public schools. We have set the goal to $25,000. Since the weather is warming up and spring cleaning is in full swing. I think now might be the time I start looking for some new home furniture. I’m not looking for a whole new bedroom or living room suit. I think just a few pieces here and there would be good. A new desk chair would be nice. Desk chairs always wear out on me for some reason. I guess I spend too much time at the computer. I think I will stay with my current desk, and just get a new comfy chair. Dishnetwork is right now having an HD promotion. They even have a niffty button by their promotion where you can email them for questions. When you click that on, it takes you to a page you can fill out and submit. It is listed as “HD Programming”, so it takes you right to the HD department right?

Actually no! Dish Network refuses to answer any questions about HD programming through emails. I gave them some really softball questions, that they told me to call for support on. They said they didn’t handle questions like that on email. So what was my 2 questions?

1) I see some channels are 24 HD channels, like an all movies and all sports channel. I already have a package that gets all your regular programming, when I get the HD package does this mean I get more channels? Channels not availbale through the regualar programming?

2) Your Dish receivers usually work two television sets. If I get an HD receiver will it give me high definition ability on 2 televisions, or just the television I have it directly hooked to?

Does those sound like hard questions? I guess if you don’t know the answers they would be hard, but I submitted this directly to Dish Network and they replied back 2 days later with “We can’t answer those questions, you will need to call our phone support”. I was amazed that two simple questions like that, they wasn’t willing to answer.

So I guess I can’t get high definition programming from Dish Network, because they won’t answer questions through their email system. I think they have hired their support group to a agency outside of the USA (probably to save a few bucks), but all they do is send you to the phone support system. The email guys at Dish Network refuse to answer questions by email, even though they offer that as a service when you sign up with them.

Have you heard the latest on the Long Island Lolita and Joey Buttafucco? It appears Joey is moving back to the New York area to move in with Amy Fisher. I’m not joking, it’s true! Ok, just in case someone out there doesn’t know the story, let me fill you in first.

A long time ago, Amy was bringing her car into Joey’s auto body shop to get repairs. The two hooked up, and began an affair. It was a one way affair, because Amy was only 16 years old at the time. So you have a grown man, that’s having an affair with a minor. Now it gets better than that. Amy is in desperation to keep Joey all for herself, she shows up at Joey’s home one day. She had a gun, and shot Mrs. Buttafucco in the head. She figured if Joey’s wife was dead, then she could just move into Joey’s life.

He was outraged that she shot his wife. Now Amy Fisher was convicted on this crime and did do time in prision for it. The ex-Mrs. Buttafucco has forgave her, but still holds a grudge against Joey. They are divorced now, due to the affair Joey had with Amy. Now Amy has a husband that she is currently living with. I think Joey has a woman too, but not sure if they are married.

So now the soap opera heats up more. It is being said that Joey Buttafucco is moving in with Amy Fisher. Amy’s husband will soon be moving out, and Joey will be taking up residence at the home of Amy and her husband. Pretty hard to imagine that a girl that shot his wife in the head, who is the mother of his children, is going to move in with the ex-con. Now Joey isn’t so clean hisself. He has served time in jail as well.

Now I am hearing rumors that a tv reality show, might be jumping on this latest news from the Long Island Lolita Story. However, it might be the reality tv show is causing this move to happen in the first place. Amy and Joey are probably not too wealthy, and making a reality show of thier life together would bring in a lot of money. I would guess that each one of them, could make 5 million easily from a reality show.

So I could see Amy talking to her husband, and telling him to move out. Then let Joey move in for about 3 months to shoot the reality show. After that, Joey moves out, her current husband moves back in and they are about 5 million dollars richer. The same would hold true on the other side of the story with Joey and his woman. I guess you can’t blame them, but Joey will be taking a lot of critism moving back in a household with a woman that shot his ex-wife.
