It’s not too uncommon to go to any sports field or arena in America and seeing a woman actively using her cell phone or laptop computer. At one time, it seemed the majority of women cared more about their laptop; than the actual live sporting event they were attending.

Things are starting to change more now and women are actually watching what’s going on at a football, basketball, or baseball game. There are a lot of ladies who like their sports and will actively root all game long for their favorite sports team to win. One of the most famous sports fans in baseball, who is a woman, would have to be actress Alyssa Milano.

Just do an Internet search for “women baseball fans” and you will find a lot of links pointing toward the famous star of TV shows like Who’s the Boss and Charmed. Milano even has her own line of clothing for female baseball fans and she came up with this great idea; while having a hard time finding clothes that fit properly at the MLB games she was attending. I know Alyssa Milano is the biggest ladies fan for the L.A. Dodgers. She is a lot like another famous actress Penny Marshall (Laverne from the Laverne & Shirley television show) who is probably the biggest NBA fan for the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team. These two ladies are showing the rest of the World it’s fine to be a woman and a big sports fan for a professional sports team.

So don’t be surprised to see a woman yelling or screaming louder than you, at the next sporting event you attend next time. I’m sure we will still see some women talking on their cell phones or checking their emails from a laptop computer at the ballpark. I do believe times are changing and being a sports nut isn’t just for the guys any longer. If you do see a woman using her laptop at the next game you go to; she might just be checking other scores from around the league. Or she could be checking up on some stats of the opposing team and seeing what her boys will have to contend with for the game you are watching right now. The ladies of sports are using less tech gadgets at the ball parks and sporting arenas, as their main focus has turned to the game itself.

As the countdown continues for the first real hurricane that threatens the U.S. mainland, we can all expect things to pick up after midnight on Thursday. This will pretty much be the starting point for those Southern states like North Carolina and Virginia, as their beaches begin to take on the first rains and ocean waves from Hurricane Earl.

The scary thing about the early morning hours on Friday, is the fact darkness will be in place as the affects of Earl begin to be felt all up and down the U.S. eastern seaboard. I would not want to be around with any tornado or hurricane like Earl during the night time hours. At least during the day, we don’t need electricity to see what we are doing. Losing your electricity at night can be difficult and very stressful. A lot of families may not be able to sleep well Thursday night, as Earl is approaching very fast up the Atlantic waters just off the United States coast.

The weather officials who have been keeping up with this category 4 hurricane, believe Earl will stay out in the Atlantic Ocean. Just because the eye doesn’t touch the American soil, doesn’t mean no storm damage or flooding will take place. Most eastern states will see sustain wind patterns, stormy weather, and beach erosion from this very large Atlantic storm. Hurricane Earl is the largest storm on the Planet right now and a lot of weather enthusiasts will be following this one closely from all over the world.

Once the sun does come up on Friday morning, the New England states will still have to see if Earl will pay them a visit at some point on Friday. It is possible on Friday afternoon for New York or Massachusetts to get the eye wall of Earl on their shoreline or very close. All New England states on the Atlantic coast, who live within 12 miles of the ocean, will feel the affects of this powerful late summer time hurricane; which is currently spinning a few hundred miles off the coast of the United States. Stay tuned to your local weather and the weather channel for the latest updates on the path of Hurricane Earl. I expect the Net to be buzzing on Friday, with a lot of folks searching for the Hurricane Earl path or Earl damage reports.

Our yearly Christmas cards is the best way to keep in touch with families each holiday season. I know some Christmas card packages come with more cards than you will probably send out this year. You may have bought a big pack last year and can send your 2009 recycled Christmas cards to your friends and family for the 2010 Christmas. Just in case your loved ones are saving these cards each year and comparing them; you may want to skip a year, before you send out the same Christmas cards again.

Our modern lifestyle doesn’t require the use of cards during holidays anymore. A text message from a cell phone or a holiday email greeting could replace a lot of the holiday cards we use to send out each year. I still like the traditional ways in life and Christmas is one of our most traditional holidays we have. I think leaving the emails for the other 364 days of the year is how we should apply our computer technology. We can still use snail mail and let the postal service employee deliver our traditional holiday Christmas cards. Your friends and family are more likely to keep a real card; than a card you found online; which you sent by email. S0 embrace technology, but don’t forget about tradition and especially on December 25th!

You know how they say “what comes around will go around?” Well I never did give much thought about that expression, but after 1 day in the hills of North Georgia, how that would all change. How one true story changed my life forever and will change someone else’s one day too.

 As I have grown old and not in good health, the golden treasures I have found, can not be gotten by these weak hands and spent in the same lifetime. I leave these gold discoveries behind, in the hopes some other adventurer will scoop them up and work them out of the clear North Georgia Waters. When you have stayed single for a lifetime and never had any children, there is really no one around you can pass your knowledge on to. So I will pass mine on to all Georgia Residents, who have the time, desire, and passion to search for a treasure that not only exists, but would be a retirement package for even the most well-to-do folks living and working in our community.

History of Cherokee County Gold

Gold can be traced all the way back to the Indians living in Cherokee, County. Their last piece of land in Georgia they would ever get, before the forced migration that would later be known as the Trail of Tears. Two years prior to this, the Cherokees had worked on a tunnel in the area of Hightower. It was during 1836 and 1837 the Cherokee Indian Tribe would construct a secret tunnel, so in case of the rumors about the Indian Removal were true, they would have a place to hide their valuables; which did include gold. The Cherokees at this point and time were good gold prospectors. They used a lot of their own knowledge and combined it with the ways of the White Men for prospecting gold and it proved very effective in the red dirt, in which they found a lot of gold.

The Cherokees did manage to get the tunnel complete, while only working during the night time hours, so no one would know where this very sacred spot was located in Georgia. The present day area of the Forsyth and Cherokee County lines are an approximation of where the tunnel may have been constructed almost 175 years ago. The idea was to hide it and then come back for it later. Most probably didn’t know the trip they were about to go on would lead them so far away from Georgia and make a return trip very unlikely for most of the native Cherokee people to Georgia. The Trail of Tears would end half-way across the country in Oklahoma.

The tribe of Cherokee Indians in Georgia would later hear about the gold rush in California and some of these Cherokee Indians, now living in Oklahoma, would pack up and head west. Out there they were able to settle a new area of land and they called this Cherokee, California; which is still recognized today. Thomas Edison owned and worked a mine in Cherokee, California, so he took care of a lot of the electrical needs miners needed back then. These mines were a lot better to work with the electrical fans and pumps created by Edison and it made these the best mines in California around the 1860′s era of mining out west. This area was in Butte County California, where the first homes with running water in California, were built right here in Cherokee.

The interesting thing about Cherokee, California was some of the people who visited this area. In 1880, the President Rutherford B. Hayes and his wife Lucy Hayes visited the hydraulic gold mining area of Cherokee, California. Along with the President and his wife, were John Bidwell and General William T. Sherman from the Civil War. Now Bidwell had discovered gold in Feather Creek and also was hired around the time gold was discovered at Sutter’s Mill; which John Sutter hired him. General Sherman, who famously burned Atlanta down in the Civil War, took a path right through the former Cherokee Nation of Canton, Georgia. It was out of the way from his southern targets of Atlanta, Savannah, and the Atlantic Ocean; while Sherman’s troops came in from Chattanoonga. It never was really clear why General Sherman went through Cherokee County and ordered for Canton to be burned down in October of 1864. The current Georgia Governor was Joseph E. Brown and he worked and lived in Canton, GA. Another theory suggests it was due to McCollum’s Scouts who may have threatened those sympathetic to the Union cause. Could it have been the rumors of gold and a tunnel filled with gold, left by the Cherokees? Why did the General seek out the Cherokee Indians in California in 1880? Maybe the General and even President Hayes were in search of the forgotten treasures in Georgia and needed the Cherokees help to find the tunnel? No one has ever found the secret Cherokee Tunnel and it still remains hidden in 2010.

One of the things which is interesting today is the Etowah River. A river which starts up in Dahlonega, Georgia and is located in Lumpkin County. It runs pretty close to 98 miles from the start until it flows into the Allatoona Lake in Canton, GA. Most of the information online is from me or my people with the statistics for the Etowah River, so they are the most accurate numbers you will find, compared to other estimates online for the Etowah River. This river has proven to be a rich source of gold and has almost carved a path through the middle of the Georgia Gold Belt.

In Cherokee County, you have a rich history of gold being found to the north in the Franklin Gold Mines and around the Creighton Gold Mines. While in the south you have the Sixes Gold Mines which proved to have gold in the southern end of the county. All of this gold being found in the north and in the south, sorta made the central part of Cherokee County gold-less or free of gold. I wanted to learn what made these two areas so rich for gold and why the land in between was like a ghost town for gold prospecting.

It didn’t take long to find an answer to my gold questions in Cherokee County. The reason no gold has ever been found in between, the discoveries to the north and the gold found down to the south, was because no one had ever tried to look for it. The town of Canton had too many other things going on and other business avenues were being pursued. Many of the folks living just to the North of Canton didn’t have much else to do, other than to look for gold. The same was true in the Sixes area and how gold was discovered there. There are a couple of public mining projects that have taken place in Canton or very near, but not a lot of information can be found.

La Belle Mine – Cherokee County

Most people will quickly push the Le Belle Mine in Canton as part of the Sixes Mines just to the south of these mines. I wouldn’t, because there is more gold veins in this area discovered and undiscovered; than you can find up in the Auraria area of Georgia, which still holds a fair share of the shinny yellow metal. This gold is in veins and does required to be mined out. Not real easy to access this gold, but a few creeks in the area offer small flakes of placer gold deposits, for anyone that has the time to scoop up the small stuff. Also, this area produces a much more pure form of gold than any where else in the state or it would appear to offer it, based on public records and knowledge of the area.

Canton Mining Works was another company in the area that did blast mining; which was an advance form of hydraulic mining in the 1850 – 1860 mining era in Canton, Georgia. They would take a network of shafts that would run hundreds of feet long. Some would go down about 200 feet and they would take gunpowder or dynamite and blast material away, inside these underground shafts. The Canton Mining Works was one of the largest crews around who were using these blast mining techniques. All in an effort to find the heavy deposits of gold in and around Canton, Ga.

A new 2010 mining operation is about to begin in North Canton and not too far from the Canton Lake. This company out of Chicago is preparing to mine coal out of a 1,084 acre farmland property; that just lies about 1  1/2 miles northeast of the Canton Lake. Coal may not be the only thing that gets discovered at this mine. If these miners have a keen eye and know what to look for, there is a good chance they will run into some gold, running through some of the underground rocks in North Canton.

The Etowah River is the key to unlocking all of the golden treasures that are currently just waiting to be found in the Cherokee County Area. If you learn the River, you will learn her secrets. There is a lot of great fishing you can do all up and down the Etowah River in Canton. These huge strippers are even more fun to catch than the big flat-head catfish the fishermen in South Georgia like to catch. 3 types of Darter Fish are on the Federal Watch List for endangered species and they are the Cherokee Darter, Amber Darter, and theEtowah Darter. The Etowah Darter is very special to the Etowah River, since this is the only place in the whole world where this fish exists! I think most of these so called “fish experts” working for the government, would be surprised to see all the Darter fish swimming in the Conasauga River which is in North Georgia too. The lake Sturgeon is a fish the DNR is trying to reintroduced into the Etowah River and if anyone catches the Sturgeon, they should release it safely back into the water. Most have probably seen the signs and warnings posted up and down the Etowah River about the Sturgeon.

Rare Etowah Darter

The best way to begin a Etowah River journey, is to leave from Knox Bridge boat ramp on Highway 20 going toward Cartersville. Go toward your left and under the Knox Bridge and you are traveling up the Etowah River. Once the river becomes 50 feet in width and not 300 feet; you can keep a lookout for your first main tributary that flows in from the left side of the Etowah River. This is Shoal Creek and you can travel a few miles up it, before the water gets too shallow for crossing. You will see an old Civil War Bullet Foundry as you make your way up the shoals going toward Waleska. If you stay straight on the Etowah River, you will go right up the middle of Canton, Georgia and these parts of the river hold so many clues. Clues of where the gold might be leaking into the river from and where.

I will leave the story right here for now and will tell more later. The Etowah River isn’t the holder of all the precious gold that lies around Canton, GA. It is a trail to which anyone can use to lead them right up to the exposed gold veins; which continue to deposit flake after flake of beautiful gold into our water ways in Cherokee County.

The history of music and our desire and interest in it goes way back to the earliest of civilizations on Earth. What probably started out as a few beats and bangs with a perfectly timed grunt, to give the music of our first ancestors a little rhythm, I think they would have been truly proud of our progress in the music field. Well that, and probably the 100 story skyscrapers, automobiles, cell phones, and our computers would also probably have caught their attention too.

The thing that amazes me the most about music is the ability for it to reach so many people. We are talking rich or poor, smart or dumb, old or young, men or women, adult or child, and it goes on and on to the different classes of society; who are bringing their head phones with them, where ever they go. There are so many music fans out there, from the different walks of life, who are constantly keeping their ears covered. So they can hear their favorite songs and musicians; while not bothering others. Modern technology has allowed musical ear pieces with tiny wires to carry these musical sounds into our own head. We don’t offend anyone with our choice of tunes, when we keep our listening headsets on, because it’s only loud enough for the closest ear to hear. If people around you do start to complain about hearing your music from the headphones; perhaps you could go look through some headphone reviews and replace your old set with ones that keep the music more concentrated or just learn which head sets have a lower amount of volume.

You can take a drive through any big city in America and see the guy in the 3 piece suit, with a portable cell phone receiver in one ear and his iPod in the other ear. We can go from corporate America right into the worse streets and neighborhoods in the inner cities and see boys and girls both walking the streets and bopping to their musical beats. For those of you who enjoy watching sports like me; you probably seen a team bus for a pro or college sports team before. When these luxury buses pull up to the stadiums and arenas; just about every athlete that gets off the bus, will have some style of headphone gear on, so their music can either relax or pump them up for the big game.

When you see just how many people are affected by music and how the numbers keep growing for people who want to carry their tunes with them; it makes you wonder if music has a higher power? Does music hold any of the answers to why man and everything else in the world exists? Maybe it’s a more simple explanation and one of the modern nations of the world is slowly hypnotizing all of us through music, so one day they can take over the World? Or maybe it’s just because tech gadgets continue to get smaller and smaller? The tiny musical devices we have now, are as easy to bring with you, as wearing a watch to work everyday.

Ordinary Folks Traveling to Outer Space

Throughout the history of man, it has always been in our blood to travel, take long voyages, and explore new territories of land on Earth. Just about every man, woman, and child living on this planet today, has that curiosity inside of them and we always want to see what is on the other side. Now that we have made it to the 21st century without destroying our race with disease, nuclear weapons, or other things that could put us back into the caveman days. We have just about went to all of the corners of the Earth and there is only a few remote pieces of land we haven’t stepped foot on and the bottoms of our oceans are still a bit of a mystery, but we have conquered Mother Earth for the most part. The only other direction we have left is up and space will be man’s next and biggest challenge ever, when it comes to feeding this curiosity we have about the moons, stars, and other planets; which do exist in our solar system.

Yes, the next big Lewis & Clark adventure will take place in outer space and we already have a lot of good technology in place, that is making space travel possible in the first part of our new millennium. While the space program was invented in the 20th century and very much operational then too, it’s really not that big of a story; when it comes to our abilities to travel away from the Earth in the 21st century. However, only highly trained astronauts and space people were getting the chance to leave the planet and go where very few other men and women have gone before. If you wanted to travel to space in the 20th century, you would have had to complete a high level of education courses and training for the chance to go. The overall numbers are still relatively low for those who have traveled to space compared to the 8+ billion people on our planet who hasn’t been beyond Earth’s gravitational field yet.

Other than a few other high-tech countries, the main launching pad for space travel has always been reserved for the men and women working with NASA. If you ever wanted to go or had dreams about traveling to outer space, you were going to have to get NASA’s permission; not to mention the use of their technology and space shuttles to get you there.

Today the study and technological advancements for outer space and space travel come from a variety of really smart people, private companies, the military for various countries, and the wealthy citizens of the World. All of these modern sources are contributing things and ideas to the astrological equations; which could make traveling to space a real possibility for more than just NASA employees and astronauts.

I find it interesting at the number of wealthy men living in our country and in other parts of the world and how a lot of these filthy rich men want to make the trip into space one day. The 21st century is going to create multiple space vehicles, for multiple paths into the open space that is beyond Earth’s furthest atmosphere from her ground. Some of these billionaires will still be young enough to make the trip and most of them will get a chance to conquer one of the last thing’s in their life, they haven’t conquered yet, because you figured most challenges they have over came to be so rich now.

I haven’t made up my mind yet, if given the opportunity by NASA or a private space travelling company, if I would choose to go. I can tell you one thing for certain. If I had a few million dollars in the bank; then there is no way in the World I would think about travelling to outer space. Why risk it? I know for the rich people out there, they have always had everything they needed or wanted in life (for the most part). I don’t have dreams about taking trips to space, but I do have plenty of dreams and desires of being rich enough, so money wasn’t an issue in my life. I know they say the more money you have, the more problems that come with it. Well I have lived the life of a poor man for almost 4 decades now and the problems I have had to face in life hasn’t been a bowl of cherries. I would like to be given the opportunity to face those rich man’s problems and the ones that come with having a lot of money. I can’t even for one second see how any of those problems would even come close to the everyday problems and real life struggles I have today. So my dream is a simple one. I could make a million dollars last for the rest of my life. I actually figured it out to a smaller number and came up with 680,000 dollars. If I was given or won 680,000 dollars; then I would be able to do enough online work to put with my monthly interest I would earn on that sum of money and could sail through life a million times better than now! Guaranteed!

Now getting back to the trips to outer space. How much would you be willing to spend or what lengths would you go through, just to have the chance to make a trip to space one time? Instead of charging a price for a ticket to space, it looks like the private companies are posing these questions to the men and women, who really want to fly into space one day. The trips to space for common people is going to be a bidding war or work much like an auction does. The ones who have the biggest bank accounts, will be the ones getting those first seats into the dark and never-ending reaches of outer space. I don’t really have a problem with that. Obviously there is going to be a lot more people wanting to go; than these spaceships have the seating capacity for. So something would have been needed to make it a fair chance for all. Money does not equal power, so letting the ones willing to pay the most, is a fair way to choose passengers for space and using money would be in the best interest of these private flights to space companies.

I do look forward to seeing average people making these trips to space. I know most of us should see at least one person we know, go to space in our lifetimes. It’s going to be that common, where a conversation will take place at the water cooler and each employee will have known a neighbor, a relative, a former employee, a friend, or someone who has signed up and taken one of these private trips, toward the stars of the pitch dark sky, which we simply know as outer space. For those people that are very brave right now, you could make a pretty penny with stocks, mutual funds, or even bonds right now. It’s a high risk; high reward game and I don’t have the guts to play it right now. There will be some people that make a small fortune right now by taking those risks, but more people will fail than succeed in this game. I would strongly suggest taking the 2010 year off and refrain from pumping new money into the stock market. Keep your insurance policies up-to-date and consider upping your insurance coverages across the board. Look for low auto insurance rates and quotes online to help comparison shop and you will save some money. Once you do this and you have a little money left over for investing, be sure to check the precious metals industry and see if that makes sense for you.

As many of you may already know, I am a novice gold prospector. I haven’t found a whole lot, but I have been in a couple of places, where I am finding real small flakes of gold. I’m sure you have traveled to some strange places, where you had to look for a place to stay for the night. You decide your going to find the nearest hotel and crash for the night. Your main goal is to just find a place to stay for 1 night, but then you decide you want more than just a room for the night. You get lured in to a hotel that is offering HBO or some other paid cable channel and perhaps they even have a hot tub for their guests too. Now the plans change and you decide to have the time of your life and you pay extra for the hot tub and cable TV.

After you see a lot of these hot tubs in the hotels, you may want to get your money back. They usually are not that nice at your cheap 1 night stay hotels. I don’t think they do any sort of hot tub maintenance’s or put a hot tub cover over them; while they’re not in use. The television is 19 inches or smaller and doesn’t even offer a clear picture. Sure you got HBO and a few other good movie channels, but how much TV do you really plan to watch? After all, you only got the room for a place to sleep and not a lot of time to enjoy the 100 channels you have at your finger tips.

Be cautious of these hotel signs when you do go out on a road trip. No sense in paying for cable television, hot tubs, and other hotel luxuries; when you only need a bed for the night. I don’t mind the cheap hotels and I will gladly stay in the cheapest one I can find. It is nice to check-in and see your hotel offering something you didn’t expect, but I believe saving money is the bottom line. I don’t want to have to pay for the hotel’s water bill or their cable bill either!

Do you have any bad habits? I personally don’t think I have any, but a lot of others would disagree with me. I am a smoker, someone that likes to bite their finger nails, and I smack my food when I eat. All of these are considered bad habits by a lot of people’s standards. I just like being who I am and I don’t try to stop any of these perceived bad habits. I do find it difficult sometimes trying to open things with no finger nails, because I have bitten them all off. I also fear going to jail, where I hear inmate stories about their boredom and how they will bite their nails in jail. I won’t have anything to bite off on day 1, so I better not go to jail anytime soon.

When it comes to food, I enjoy eating it. I won’t open up my mouth wide when I chew my food. I do realize how disgusting this is for others to see, so I will show some respect and keep my mouth closed while chewing food. I won’t give those child-like bites on something I enjoy eating. I like to eat aggressively and I will smack from time to time. If I do anything that bothers others, I will refrain from doing it; while I am with them. If I am by myself eating, you can bet I will be smacking away. Same way with a fresh piece of bubble gum in my mouth. I will chomp on it, like it’s going out of style and chew that good flavor right up.

Then there is the smoking habit I have. From an expense outlook, I do wish I could stop smoking. I hate spending good money on cigarettes and do feel like I am wasting my hard-earn money on them. I really don’t mind the health side of things. I am someone that fears living to be 80, 90, or even 100 years old and having to sit around at some old folks home waiting to die. At least that is my perception of old age as someone who hasn’t even reached 40 yet. If smoking leads to cancer, it might be something I would want in my golden years to help speed up things a bit, if you know what I mean. Our medical technology and doctors have gotten too good now and they can do a lot of things to keep you around and living on Earth. I wonder how many people in an old folk’s home wishes they could end their misery now? How many actually enjoy their lives in what is possibly their last home on this planet? I don’t have the answers to these questions and my mind only wonders about them. I could see smoking as a friend later in life, if it does decrease my life expectancy here on Mother Earth.

Bad habits aren’t always bad. If you don’t think of them as bad, you shouldn’t worry about it too much. You also have to realize health and others and can’t just do whatever you please anytime you want. There is a line of doing the right thing sometimes and we have to put aside our personal pleasures at times in order to make us and others around us happy. You should be happy to stop doing something, if it bothers another person. However, the person asking for the favor also needs to keep in mind how much the other person is doing is really affecting them. It’s different for each individual and the street leading to respect works both ways. Let’s respect others with our bad habits, but don’t always feel like you have to be a puppet on the string for them too. There is enough room for us all here (as of right now), so enjoy the spacious world we live in and try to let others be who they are. It works out so much better when we do and we don’t try to advise them in every little thing they do.

Is the gas prices in your area holding steady? Surprisingly with the World supply of oil running out, the prices of gas are not skyrocketing yet. I really thought the BP oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico would cause a sharp increase at prices at the pumps, but we haven’t seen that yet. The leader of a South American country is threatening to cut off the oil to the United States and we will have to see how that affects prices at the fuel pumps.

Our gas supply isn’t going to be around forever, so eventually we will all have to live without our limited supply of oil. Everyone should be happy with the low prices we pay now, because it could have been a lot worse. The BP oil spill is still a long ways from being totally fixed and I wonder how much the U.S. taxpayers will have to spend to help clean up the oil caused by the disaster in the Gulf.

All 4 of these are benchmarks we might see every 2 years starting next summer. I do think gas prices will soar to $3.50 a gallon and go up $1 every 2 years; until we are spending $6.50 a gallon on gasoline in the United States of America. Is your family prepared to pay for gas prices like these? If not, now is a good time to start thinking about jobs that are closer to home or buying a new home closer to your job. This should also impact any future vehicles you plan to buy new or used in the next 3 to 5 years. Gas will not be around forever and the whole world could run completely dry starting in the year 2019. We may be able to buy a few extra years, if we start trying to cut back now, but no evidence like that of any kind is taking place on any continent on Earth.

You just can’t do much these days without a credit card. For those who own at least one credit card, probably don’t realize how tough life is without one. Buying things online or paying for gas at the pump is just a couple of the advantages a credit card holder can enjoy. I was curious to see how much the reward programs meant to you, for those credit card companies who do have one in place.

A reward card can offer you airline miles, discounts, or even cash back in some cases. All the card holder has to do is keep their payments sent in on time and they will earn credit for each purchase they make, if they use their credit cards to complete the cash transactions.

I usually prefer to just have the card with the lowest interest rates. Normally the reward programs aren’t that important to me. Since the prices of gas has soared in recent years and there are some reward programs that offer free gas at the pumps. I think I will start paying attention to the reward programs more. I would like to know with each purchase, I am earning free gallons of gasoline for simply buying things I normally would. Where does your family like to travel to for summer vacations? There are really only two popular types of destinations travelers will choose to take each summer. One of the most common places to choose is the beach or where there is a lake or ocean present. Water adds excitement to any vacation and its a great and relaxing way to enjoy your week off from work.

The other choice many will choose to take is going to the mountains. The mountains or any place that is miles away from any modern conveniences. A camping trip or a log cabin in the woods is the 2nd most common travel destination for families who take a summer vacation each year.

I enjoy doing both and don’t really have a favorite. It all depends on what type of mood I am in. The sun and the beach is a great choice and I love going to the ocean. I have been to South Carolina and Florida for most of my ocean vacations. If I see the ocean down in Mississippi or on the Alabama coast, I am usually going on a gambling trip to Biloxi, Mississippi. A lot of families like to visit a casino on their vacations, but since the kids aren’t allowed in, this really isn’t the best family vacation choices.

If you just want to get away from it all, then I strongly suggest a trip to the mountains. I’m not sure how close of a trip this would be for your family. My home in North Georgia is a real close drive to the mountains in my area. Taking a one day trip or a weekend getaway to the Smokies in Tennessee is no problem for me. I even like the mountains in North Georgia and all of the beauty and silence they offer.

This also saves you money, since the beach is free to do and more than likely there is a free pool your children can take advantage of too. A trip to the mountains doesn’t offer too many of the free things that kids like to do. You can take them fishing and swimming, but most of the other activities will cost you money. If I had kids, I would certainly put their interests above mine; when choosing where to go on a summer vacation.

Anyone who decides to lose weight, wants the weight off that minute. Even though it took us a long time, in many cases, to obtain our weight, we like to get rid of it much quicker.
